I noted co-written. It was Patrick Weekes story arc, but John cooperated with him. Just like Patrick cooperated with him with Javik and Genophage Cure arc.

There may or may not have been a survey leak, a la DAI. Ofcourse the fact that exact same thing happenned with DAI, doesn't necessarily add credibility to the "leak". It may be an attempt to deceive people by making it sound more believable.

 

Nevertheless, I am adding the whole leak as a rumor.

One thing that made the DA survey much more credible was that it had images of companion characters, and those images were in the same style as the character concept artist's previous work. 

 

This ME "leak" is just words, although some of it does align with things we've seen in the past (the Pathfinder Initiative, new races).

It aligns perfectly with what we have heard so far. If true, it even verifies the PAX leak. At the very least, the guy who wrote this is very well informed, even if it's fake.

There are a couple of NeoGAF members who say that this aligns with what they had heard previously, btw.

Tbh, sounds good, either way. The only 'features' that I am skeptical towards, are the Remnants and the human-only player.

The remnants sounding identical to the protheans and the less-loved DAI mechanics are what bother me. Andromeda, the rhet and the Pathfinder Initiative sound cool (and I'm not particularly pro-Ark Theory).

 

I don't like the name Cora. Sounds old, like Great Aunt Cora.

As time goes on leaks are probably going to be easier and easier to fake. Rumors abound and there are threads like these which pull together what little we do know into an easy to analyze format. I wouldn't be surprised if the survey itself was faked based off of things we already know and rumors which had already been hinted at by people like Shinobi and EatChildren. It could very well be a good fake, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was.

Would expect communications to be non-existent, especially if the Milky Way is dealing with the fall out of the Reaper War. Could very well be that all records of the expedition was lost, or so low-priority given the rebuilding process that all efforts are focused on the MW and not in contacting the Andromedea area.

 

I say if they're doing the new galaxy area then it would be likely the MW will be conveniently 'ignored' and remain an anomaly just in case they want to pull it back in at some point later in the series?

Wouldn't make sense then, because your numbers would be limited and the leak currently is stated that you will gather resources and grow in power, plus hiring mercs and other aliens out there as well that were familiar with.

 

I don't know, it's very unlikely this will be an ark sort of deal. My guess is, they discover or turn on a mass relay to the galaxy and your part of the staging mission to explore and colonize it.

Anyway, the rumors are interesting. I am not entirely enthusiastic about leaving the Milky Way but it all depends on how it is executed. Same with the enormous size that they want to do. I just hope this will not take too many cues from Inquisition. If they are going to make a huge game, they also need to fill it properly and take some cues from this thread here IMO.

 

But let's wait and see. Some stuff sound good, other stuff sounds difficult to implement well and yet other stuff, I find rather dubious but let's not judge on rumors.

what's difficult is the 4x ambition the whole EXPLORE, EXPAND, EXPLOIT THING. It sounds like HOMEWORLD or SINS OF A SOLAR EMPIRE or DISTANT WORLDS my golly I mean... do we really want that? why not just play 4x games instead ?_?
