Well I guess we just need to discover the magic element that allows us to reduce our mass proportionally.

There *might* be a way to do something similar via manipulation of the Higgs Field or something. Negative mass/energy work the similar way in the equations of general relativity. But the exotic matter that it describes may not exist. We can do a lot with physics. Look at our master of electromagnetism. I'm not willing to write something off just because of current unfeasibility, ESPECIALLY if it is mathematically sound.

EA's release schedule for FY2016:

No unannounced games means no Mass Effect release in Q4 2015 or Q1 2016.

You might not have to wait for 2017. EA's 2016 fiscal year ends in March 2016.

Summer 2016? That means over 4 full years between ME3 and the next Mass Effect. It's been a long wait... and we still have over a year to go at that rate :(

Makes sense since they are using a new engine for it. They have to build from the ground up essentially.

Yeah, except that's what DAI supposedly did and it took 3 and 1/2 years in between games. They even stated in the dev diaries that DAI was the sacrificial game for this gen, since they had to code RPG features into Frostbite.

Not that I am complaining about the extra dev time at all, but the engine and tools were ready for the next Mass Effect from the get go. Even Aaryn Flynn stated that DAI passed on its core systems and framework to the next Mass Effect and future Bioware games.

Theoretically, this should have led to a decrease in dev time, but either development was slow at the beginning for a while or maybe there is just a massive amount of content in ME Next, more than DAI (fingers crossed, so long as the content is meaty and connected to the main plot as much as possible. Minimize filler. Give me an extra well developed side-story or two with multiple steps, locations, secrets and characters to explore instead of 10 MMO style "kill these creatures in this area and return to me for loot").

Add a year.  Then probably another 3 months.

How do we know there are no unannounced games to be added to the list. Is it like a rule or something that they must announce a year or more before release?

Actually, that image misses out a note at the bottom of the slide, which says:

Note: Represents publicly announced titles only.

So, it depends on whether you count the reveal at last E3 as "publicly announced".

Well they didn't announce the "title", they just talk about working on the next Mass Effect game. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for March - exactly 4 years between games.  It's hard to cope thinking that one year from now, I will still be waiting to play ME:Next instead of having it in my hands.

Okay "cope" is a little strong but E3 cannot come fast enough.

The game isn't announced yet. We don't even have the title. DAI wasn't considered announced until E3 2013, and We knew the name since Fall 2012 (I think).

I always initially believed that an early 2017 release would be the worst case scenario release for ME4. Fall 2016 being most likely case and early 2016 being best case.

Need for Speed and PvZ haven't been announced either.

An ark getting to Andromeda would just need to replicate the Reapers means of travelling without drive discharge or refueling. The technology already exists in the Mass Effect lore, it's just not something the Council races have as of yet.

Having the Council races reverse engineer that capability would be no more implausible than having the Turians develop Thanix weapons from Sovereign's debris, or humanity mastering FTL from 50,000 year old ruins.

Not necessarily.  I personally think there is still something to the Klencory myth.  From the codex:

Klencory is famously claimed by the eccentric Volus billionaire Kumun Shol. He claims that a vision of a higher being told him to seek on Klencory the "lost crypts of beings of light." These entities were supposedly created at the dawn of time to protect organic life from synthetic "machine devils."

The beings of light could be the Remnant, this would match with a previous leak describing one of the new races, an ancient guardian race, looking like Golem's with lines of light on their bodies.  Shol wasn't just some madman after all, his vision came from a beacon like device, on Klencory he found coordinates to a hidden Mass Relay constructed by the remnant that allows one way travel to the Andromeda Galaxy.  The Remnant travelled to the Andromeda Galaxy the old fashioned way, but they constructed a Relay when they got there that connects to the one they left behind.  I'm sure they can think of some explanation as to why it can only be used by the council races once.  Just speculation on my part but it would explain the weird looking Relay we have seen in teaser concept art.

This is why I want a Remaster ME Trilogy. I know this next ME game is still quite a ways down the line.

While this schedule does plainly suggests we won't have anything on E3, it's still nothing but assumption on our part.

I had a dream the other night that a BioWare dev would answer one of my questions...   So I asked if they would be presenting at E3.  He said yes, and all of you went absolutely batshit insane at me.

"Why didn't you ask about the ark?"  "Why didn't you ask about Andromeda?"  "Why didn't you ask about canonized endings?

4 years sounds good to me. It would me we'd actually get a finished game for once.

It's more that they were headed into a phase not unlike the significant amount of time spent in pre-production for ME1. A largely brand-new team at a "new" studio tackling entirely new themes as opposed to drafts which were written for the purposes of a trilogy of releases. BioWare takes this step very seriously, and that is why their lore is so enthralling. They spend a lot of time mapping it out, and a lot of time mapping out broad gameplay philosophies, many of which will be quite new with NME.

Getting people hired, getting them settled into their roles, and then figuring out just what in blazes NME is all about probably took a considerable amount of time.

As you already know by now I'm not thinking March 2016, but rather, circa November 2016. :P

November sounds realistic. In the mean time I hope we get the remaster revealed at E3. With no access to ME games and a serious lack of info on ME4 I'm unsettled, trips to youtube inevitably leave me listening to this song and wallowing in it's melancholy.

C'mon Bioware you're killing me here!
