Mass Effect Andromeda - Known Features Thread - Who needs Milky Way anyway? [15/6/2015]

Time wise, I hope it's in the not too distant future. 20 or 30 years later sounds nice.

November sounds realistic. In the mean time I hope we get the remaster revealed at E3. With no access to ME games and a serious lack of info on ME4 I'm unsettled, trips to youtube inevitably leave me listening to this song and wallowing in it's melancholy.

C'mon Bioware you're killing me here!

While this schedule does plainly suggests we won't have anything on E3, it's still nothing but assumption on our part.
The schedule suggests nothing like that. NME will be at E3.

Hey, I dig it to some extent. Don't know enough musical terms to explain it exactly, but usually electronic music annoys me more than anything, but this one has a nice groove going on. A little Broken Social Scene-ish, too.
It's obviously different from most of the Mass Effect OST, all those incredible themes we've grown attached to (heavily influenced by what happened in the game at that point, mind you), but as far as actual songs go that wasn't created for Mass Effect, I think it's pretty decent.
Alternative reply: Tastes differ; no need to have a go at someone for liking something different ![]()

Oh, there's a need alright.
I was just looking for the perspective that makes this the song that reminds people of the trilogy, instead of 'Vigil' or 'Suicide Mission' or even Faunts.

It's a release schedule from Q2 2015 to Q1 2016. Nobody expected the next Mass Effect to hit within that time frame. It neither confirms or denies that it'll be at E3 since it has nothing to do with it.

A bit of speculation backed by precedent.
DAI is out. Bioware and EA need to shift their focus to the next game, marketing wise. ME is Bioware's most popular series that not even the ending clusterfuck could ruin, since frankly very few people outside of hardcore ME veterans gave a flying fig about it. In E3 2013, we got our first official trailer for DAI, and in E3 2014 we got a full gameplay demo. We already got a few teases for NME in E3 2014. We know they were halfway through development several months ago and since then have done 'significant progress'. BioWare has nothing else of comparable size to show, except for maybe the new IP, but it's really unlikely they'll reveal that before NME. NME is very likely a 2016 release, early 2017 at the latest. So it's likely a little more than a year until it's out and three years since ME3 came out.
I'm not saying it's guaranteed, but it seems pretty damn likely will get something at E3. It's not like they need to show anything big. The first trailer for DAI was shown about a year and a half before the game released. It's about time we got the first one for NME, even if it's only a short teaser. By all indications, they're far enough into development to have it ready.

And some people think Rihanna is best musician of all time. Not all opinions are created equal.

It's party music from Citadel DLC, it's a great choice!

And you'd be mistaken if you think they were wrong. Musical preference isn't an opinion it's appeal and what appeals to one doesn't others.

The whole point of doing these conferences is to broadcast the information to the world. They attend E3 to make money. Keeping things behind closed doors does nothing to make them money.

I get that, but I know some conferences, like at some Pax conferences, they aren't posted unless a show goer records and posts it on YouTube. That's why I was wondering about E3. I also know E3 broadcasts on their website, but I wasn't sure if they post everything.

PAX is a convention for fans and is treated as such. E3 is an expo, designed to promote games.

I really apologize for being few days late, but quite a bit had happen in my life that I neglected BSN altogether.
Well for those who didn't know, Bioware's senior development director had on Twitter confirmed NME will not be a prequel. But had also said it will not necessarily be a sequel either.

Ok, it´s not a prequel. That´s actually great. And if the Andromeda theory is indeed correct, then yeah, it wouldn´t be a sequel. Dang, the threat of you having to call me Urizina grows with each passing day and each released info.

I think we will get a "range" release like Spring 2016 or Holiday 2016. However I doubt we will get an exact date like April 27th, 2016 or November 15th, 2016.
