I guess it makes sense on some level.
But kind of destroys the intent of the original. From what I understand, the original writers viewed him as a metaphor of their own turn-of-the-century Jewish upbringing. Being an immigrant or foreigner in America, and trying to earn respect and success. "Lois" kind of represents some normalcy and acceptance. Wonder Woman is the opposite direction... it's Superman embracing his differences.
Eh, but I like DarkKnightHolmes said... talking about Superman leads to cheesy philosophical discussions.
I aways thought an relationship with an equal would the real normalcy for superman. I mean, sure, it makes him get out of touch of his human side even more, but I suppose it's a lot less stressful for him to have a partner that he can embrace as he wants and not fearing crushing all the bones in her body. Someone that understands his super human related issues from personal experience. In the end people seek other people that are like them, it's easier to relate that way.
But to each their own. Certanly don't want to start another philosophical argument.
