What kind of issues can I look forward to in the new update?

Don't touch it yet! Unless you are knowledgeable to some depth with r653 do not update to r656!

The versions past 653 are beta builds and still have many bugs to iron out. KFreon is doing his best but it's going to be a while.

That said, once it is sorted out, the new toolset is amazing!

Okay I am having an issue with the texplorer scan. It stops at 2420/2432. I have mehem and cem installed. Any help would be appreciated.

If you get stuck during treescan it is nigh always due to your gamefiles not having been vanilla'd properly.

It shouldn't hitch on MEHEM applied before treescan, I don't know about CEM.

Make sure you vanilla properly by either copying in a completely fresh copy of the gamefiles, or by manually deleting all modified files and redownloading them via Origin update. Do not run Origin update without deleting modified files as it sometimes leaves some of them in altered states that trip up treescan.

I have never got CEM to treescan. Have always had to apply it after the scan.

How does this effect any mods installed to the game?

So I was on version 108/632. Switched to 109/653 and suprise: I can't install any of smarteck's tpf's anymore (the 2-3 I've tested, anyway). Tried to re-install his aquarium mod with this version, but instead of installing (as earlier version did), when I hit the Analyse with texplorer, I get something about texplorer tree not found. Not sure what I'm doing that's not right?

Addendum: if I switch to 109, do I have to reinstall vanilla and MEHEM before I setup Texplorer? And THEN reinstall all mods?

Right, this is not the me3explorer forums guys. Help request and bug reports are REALLY best posted up there as that forum is dedicated to it.

As to your question Mr. Ph11, you should be able to update from 632 to 653 without issues. If you lost your tree while updating (didn't make a backup for instance), texplorer will give you a warning that it can't find the tree. If you do have a backup, make sure you place it back in the exec folder of the toolset.

Unless you messed up your gamefiles modding before, you don't need to vanilla and rescan your tree updating from 632 to 654. Though if you lost your tree or messed up your gamefiles, you'll have no choice.

The aquarium mod by smarteck cannot be permanently applied and you shouldn't try to. It's one of the mods that suffers from a rare upscale issue in the toolset that has not yet been resolved. It will seemingly install fine but then completely mess up the plants ingame.

So since I've just downloaded the new version directly from me3 explorer forums, not using the SVN, I just need to take a file from the old folder (the one from 632) and copy-it into the exec folder, is that-it? This file: "me3tree.bin" ?

Yes, exactly so.
