BioWare in its San Diego Comi-Con panel has revealed new information on next Mass Effect game. The information was revealed on two BioWare members tweeter account as follows.

-Next Mass Effect is somehow a meaningful continuation of the trilogy.

- Forstbite 3 allows the producers to do things that they previously was not able to.

- In the Customization aspect developersThe new game is set during the Shepard`s  will let players have control over it as much as possible

- The new game is set during Shepard time and original Mass Effect but it is in no way related to it.

- Co-op section of the game is much important than completion MP section to the developers.

- It is possible that some of the characters from previous games may be present in the new game.

****, during the Reapers then. So pretty much everything we do in the story will end up being harvested either way.

I dont know. Because they said the story is not related to Shepard at all. So maybe maybe not. But then again, yes. As it will be before the harvest.

Meh, it really doesn't bother me at all. As long as the plot's contained, what happens within the plot matters more to me than what will happen afterwards.

I mean, I would LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE to play a game set in Beleriand (the first age of Middle Earth) knowing full well that the Valar are gonna wipe that place off the map xD

Uggggggggh, that means Cerberus and the Reapers still exist. Consider me uninterested.

As long as I can romance the Mako it's cool.

As long as Casey Hudson sticks to directing/producing and stays away from writing/scripting, (especially like, writing/changing the ending at the last minute,) it should be fine.

Ah, it just feels like a waste of time. Build a connection to the characters except you know that in the future for these characters, you've probably blown them to pieces already as Shepard in the original Mass Effect trilogy because there is a good chance they are husks.

I like to play a game during the reaper invasion as the Protheans. Visiting Human's, Asari etc while they are primitives, life like in the Prothean empire would be awesome.

We don't even know what happened to the Protheans who entered the Relay, just theories they died.

Personally, I would have loved it if they had gone to the first contact ware period/era and made other races playable, except for human so we could understand all the hate humanity receives and see the events in the eyes of the Turians for example.

But doesn't that go against your point? I mean, the Protheans will get wiped out eventually too.

That's accepted though, we already know it but life continued afterwards. The difference between the Protheans and the Mass Effect trilogy is that everything is completely fucked after the trilogy.

The Protheans may of gone extinct, but the mass relays weren't gone, everything organic didn't become whatever that green circuitry us etc, life was able to continue, albeit unknowingly unaware of the next extinction.

No matter what ending we picked at the end of the trilogy, the relays are gone except the control, but who wants that option? We all know the Reapers will get out of control again. The options at the end of the trilogy pretty much ends the entire universe.

I can't even accept the EC because its still ending the entire universe. Bioware would no way continue with the Green choice, the blue choice makes everything go null because the Reapers still exist and the chance for extinction still possible and destroy, well destroys everything.

If the universe wasn't completely fucked and the chance of life to continue forward with no taint left by whatever choice Shepard chose, I may of been okay. Do we even know the extent of the destroy option? Everything Reaper technology is destroyed right? The ME universe lifeline depends on the reaper technology.

I've only done Destroy, original and with EC, in the EC ending they got rebuilt.

I can't remember sorry, I've forgotten a lot of details. I lost a lot of interest in the game and not really focused. I'm only going by what I can remember.

Ugh. Please, no. Bioware falling in love with their darling characters has become annoying. I wish they'd move on and put a little less emphasis on your team mates. at least the Mako's back.

I much rather see what the next "cycle" is like, the first cycle for god knows how many centuries that is outside Reaper influence, what would it be like for a lone ship to come across the debris left behind from the Reaper war? Nobody will be able to clean it all up, the mess left behind will be insane. It would be like going through the Omega 4 relay.

The ruins of the citadel, the desolate cities of homeworlds, Reaper carcasses just floating around in orbit etc. It would be almost horror sci-fi, we know the Reapers can still indoctrinate even after death. How will the indoctrinated react when all the reapers are dead? Will they try to rebuild?

Will the Leviathans eventually come back?
