Hi, I know this has been discussed zillion of times, but since I finished the game just yesterday... I tried all three endings and I chose the organics-syntetics-happy-live-together one. Except for creepy green glowing eyes and some facial marks... I think this is the best ending in the game. As Catalyst points out "ultimate solution". And the destruction of Reapers is the worst except that is the only ending where you keep Shepard alive in his own body. All endings are good endings. One will make you "ascend" but loose your body. The other will make you die but unite organics and syntetics. The third one will kill syntetics and leave you alive in your body. My reasons is that one life is worth sacrificing against billions even if it's your life. Controlling option was second best. I think that the middle one is the best choice. Except for glowing green eyes... I don't think those would be really necessary in real life ;)

This game is so good you can build a psychological profile of someone play the game based on choices he makes.

Which ending did you choose and why?

Small question, why do you think Synthesis would actually stop the Reapers?

If EDI and the Geth all become "living things," then shouldn't the Reapers, who are far more advanced and complex also become "living things."

So then, once each has individual free will, why wouldn't they talk and decide to enslave the galaxy for their own enjoyment?

I chose Control as my very first ending... oh and I let Anderson get shot just so I can be true Paragon. If you want the rest of the details, bring me some ryncol and red sand, I doubt I'll be able to tell you the rest of the details after both of those.

Have you ever tried 0 EMS Synthesis? It's very succinct and skips the bullsh*t and right into the exclusive parts where what once was shall be again. :)

Synthesis.  bcuz green eyez lawl.

Seriously though, I did pick Synthesis.  It seems to solve the problem of synthetic-organic conflict, as well as enabling the galaxy (with the help of the Reapers' tech/knowledge), to rebuild relatively quickly.  Also the glowing bits are hella cool.

There's no time to debate, I'm choosing synthesis. We're dead if we don't choose colorful rainbows.

Destroy. Because two hours f***ing around with the Rannoch reaper fight really p*ssed me off. I killed the Geth my first play through, and shot Legion three times. So Destroy was definitely in keeping with the way I was role playing Shepard. Plus I survived the ending!

You mean that CSI: Mass Effect? After all of this time, no one's made a mod where Shepard wears sunglasses. I'm truly disappointed with the modding community. :P

Pre-EC, I eventually mozied on over to Control; although I had a Destroy mindset. I head-canoned that Shepalyst released the non-Reapers from his control, then ordered the Reapers to self-destruct or fly into a sun, then powered off -- so, basically Destroy only the Geth survive. The very first time I played I picked Destroy because the other two were much less straight forward.

Post-EC, Refuse, or meta-Refuse as I like to call it. I don't like the ending so I view the Refuse option -- usually activate it by shooting the kid -- as a refusal of the entire ending sequence and I find it quite cathartic.

Post-post-EC (I uninstalled the EC). I shoot the kid repeatedly until I turn off the game or the Reapers blow up the Crucible.

Yeah, but that would destroy the extranet. My life would be over and Traynor would never be able to see the site where organics and synthetics can have relationships. Garrus would have nothing to calibrate, and the quarians wouldn't be able to salvage anymore geth materials 'cause they've all been fried. IT TRULY IS HELL!

Since BioWare stated that possible old characters might return just tells you that all other endings besides destroy was a load of B.S. and wasted effort.

That is very true. Reapers/Synthetics are stronger. That is why Reapers/Catalyst exist in the first place. They are not saving synthetics from organics. What they actually trying to do is to save organics from synthetics those might create. I think they are not getting any entertainment in eliminating organics. There is no reason for them. While Geth is a bit different thing. Geth fight organics because they defend. Organics - Quarrians want to eliminate them and refuse to see them as equals. They just see them as "tools" that went out of control. If Quarrians would stop attacking Geth they could even become allies. I didn't see anything in game that says that organics and synthetics fight over resources, they fight over idea. Quarrians try to kill Geth because they have driven them into space. Geth trying to kill quarrians because those try to kill them.

Why the heck would Traynor care about that?  She would be helping femshep recover from her wounds. And I don't care if Garrus has anything to calibrate or not. That's his problem. And besides that, he's dead in most of my playthroughs. The Quarian's, if alive, can figure something out.

Why? ME4 may be about other threat, not about Reapers anymore. Btw. on the side note. Why people did not like ME3 endings? In my opinion those are all good endings. Either one of them. The thing is that they close the story. But about overall hapiness.... they all are more less good endings.

Quarians without tech is like an asari that doesn't know how to pole dance, and Shep taking a breath of life in space was shocking.

What did the Quarians do before the Geth? Didn't they have tech before that?

I'm not saying the other endings were complete bullsh*t, but because the devs are actually continuing the Shepard universe means that Destroy was the canon'd ending. Why did they even bother with any other ending? Why didn't they just make Destroy the only ending and then expand upon the ME3 ending?

I'm sure they did, but Destroy destroys tech even though that is not the case for High EMS Destroy 'cause Starbrat doesn't even know what he knows.

I think they can be making another game in Shepard's Universe (ME universe). It might be with Shepard (which I would really love because I became emotionaly attached) or they might create the new hero and the stories we played in ME1-3 will be just mentioned in Codex. Heh, I'd love to play Shepard again.
