Hawke is an insignificant irrelevant failure in the grand scheme of things.

wannahawkealoogie?
Bad pun is bad, anyway hopefully not, I wouldn't want to hear them shout an exaggerated "Hawke!" while running into battle, that would be comical but not very inspirational.
It'd be pretty Hawkeward.
Well Hawke wasn't even mentioned in Asunder. Anders name came up and the attack on the Chantry seemed to have far more significance that what followed. You have to admit that was a pretty unique event, whereas Annulments had occurred before and by the end the Circle did seem to be crawling with blood mages and demons. However, the chief problem is that Hawke could have sided with either party. So Hawke as a rallying cry for all mages seems unlikely.
However, Hawke as an inspirational figure for mages from the Freemarches might be a different issue. If you play a human mage you are actually from a Circle in the Freemarches (well that is where your family come from and mage children of nobles tend to be kept nearer to home than those of commoners). I actually wondered if a Trevelyan mage would have come from Starkhaven or Kirkwall until it was pointed out to me that there were more than two Circles in the Freemarches. Nevertheless it is far more likely that they would have heard more than mages elsewhere, particularly if survivors were either sent there (by the Templars) or turned themselves in because they couldn't face life on the run. I made a point of protecting every mage that stood with me (which is why I found Orsino's breakdown so ridiculous a betrayal of my efforts). Last I saw of them they were running in the direction of the room where I eventually found Sandal. If he got in, then I assumed they were able to get out. I imagine Emile de Launcet would have gone home because I can't think of anyone less able to cope on the run and ultimately he would have been returned to a Circle somewhere.
More interesting perhaps might be whether Iron Bull mentions Hawke. Again there are variables and if you handed over Isabella then the Arishok left peacefully. However, if Hawke killed the Arishok, I'm sure that might be worth a mention.
Hawke is still used as a rallying cry for Mages, even if you side with the Templars, because Hawke proves that the Templars can be defied when he/she kills Meredith and gets away with it.
