I hope they didn't completely revamp the tattoos, the old ones looked really good.

Here's a screengrab where you can see a little more of her...
Another mage Bioware? Trying to send a message here or what?
She does look good in both though, glad they got rid of the short human look. I like my elves at eye level

I'll have to see a better body picture to judge, but I disliked the DA2 design and it seems like it made a comeback.

Well going by the face it seems like a good improvement over the DA2 design, though I would also like to see a full body picture

Semi confirmed rumor you can only get the 'best' ending with a mage character who is 100% pro mage.
Still happy they kept something close to the DA2 body now if only I can get that DAO Morrigan hair style an Elf Inquisitor would be a no brainier for me.

Dissapointed to see another female character with short hair. I'm afraid there won't be a single character with long hair in Inquisition. The hair texture seems bad as well. I hope they use the 6 extra weeks to improve the look of hair in their game.

Better than most of DA2's elves but not a fan of the return of the spaghetti body. Also, why an all caps font for subtitles?

Hate that they flopped back to 'humans with pointy ears', yet kept the DA2 body. No longer looks alien and exotic, just deformed. Deformed humans with pointy ears.

I miss the huge irises of the DA2 elves.
Agreed the larger eyes was something I really liked about them as well. Actually the only things I really didn't like with the DA2 elves was the size of their heads compared to their bodies they looked way to big and I think thats what made the necks look too long as well.

for me it looks like DA2 elf. she's too androgynous and anorectic (as someone already said). Unhealthy. Like a too delicate butterfly ... or an alien from Rosswell. (I can't see her romancing Bull for exaple. she would break in half XD). Sera looks differently - she has much more attractive body design IMO.
also, I preffer bigger, more noticeble tattoos ... like those from DAO. them peps (NPCs
) will know right away (even from a far distance) that my character is a proud Dalish elf.

Well Sera doesn't look quite as skinny as DA2's elves. Her body proportions don't look completely ridiculous either. Hopefully that will be the case for the PC too.

I know a lot of people are disappointed in the short hair and I hope they are able to fix it but I do like her hair style in the picture. Every day that I spend way too much time on my hair getting ready for work is another day closer I am to pulling a Sera lol.

I really like the new design, and if the body is like Sera's I'm more than fine. The neck is bit long, but it seems like is not a "elven only" problem. (some human characters have the same neck)
and I'm happy with the short hairstyle! I find it cute
but the texture don't seem too great :/ but I think those will be fixed in the final game.
I only hope now the tatoo isn't mandatory.
I don't like much my elf being Dalish, so I'd like to have her as distant as possibile from Dalish style, at least in my first run. After all, if I remember well, in DAO the tatoo wasn't mandatory in the Dalish origin.

Well I'm happy. Cute design. And best of all, her ears are properly sized. Anyone remember this thread I made early into the month about elf ears on our own characters always being much tinier than any other elf ears in DAO and too human-looking?
http://forum.bioware...ears-this-time/
Well it looks like this has been handled. Her ears look as long as they should be now, and got the right shape. That is actually a rather big deal with me. So I make a thread about wanting to know if archers and mages can get bloody from combat easily, and I find out the answer is yes. I make a thread about elf ears and wanting to know if they're properly sized now, and the answer is yes. DAI just keeps absolving my worries.

I think she has a pretty face...but I'm not a huge fan of female elves.
I really like Sera though. She just look tougher and less like some kind of fragile doe.
I also don't like the tatoo, it doesn't look like a tatoo , more like some warpaint.
I'm not going to play female elf anyway , too frail looking for me.

While I love me some human and dwarf player characters, and very much want to experience the Inquisition as a Qunari, my personal default choice for lead characters in this franchise end up being predominantly elven more often than not!
This female Inquisitor looks great!

I'm adoring this design -- Add in the options for piecings and freckles in the CC and I'm pretty much content with it.

That's a contradiction. Either they have a human body with long ears or they have a DA2 elven body, it can't be both at the same time. That's like saying "they flopped back to her looking like a man yet kept him looking like a female"... It doesn't make sense. It's one or the other.

Excellent compromise in design. In DA2 you had to make your elf and then hit yourself with an ugly stick 100 times before fitting in with the rest of the elven population.
