You don't need the extra shield damage evo when you have Reegar and Acolyte.

It could still end up with favourable results with the Shield evolution, because instead of using Disrupter ammo for dealing with shields then Flamer for armour. You could be using the Flamer for Shields then Fire ammo for incendiary cheese finish. So you make up the armour damage loss on Flamer with incendiary cheese instead. And the synergy would be better since on the Trooper I always seem to open things with Flamer first then finish off with something like the Typhoon.

 

With level 4 power amp + Fortification + passives = about 1000 Flamer dmg toward both shield & armour instead of 1500 armour/650 shield. (Numbers could go higher with Pistol/SMG power mod and Hunter mode for full power dmg. But I'm not planning on this, especially changing Hunter Mode. Rate of fire + more speed/vision range is a must)

 

Still plenty of mooks in Gold, and plenty of bosses with shields too. The only faction not big on shields and more armour are the Reapers. Which I've already started bailing on every now and then, lol.

 

 

So all in all, still doesn't seem all that bad on paper? Only real issue I can think of is restricting this kit to only flame ammo instead of my usual disrupter/phases/armour ammo or any other ammo type (depending on which I have more of). So until I get my flame ammo cushion back up to 255 again, this build experimentation will have to wait. But if anyone else want to try it and report back here with the results, that would be great.

I don't actually play with those weapons much. Especially the Acolyte, as this gun is still alien to me. Used to use the Reegar quite a bit one point for my Geth Juggernaut. But other then that, I'm not much of a fan of these weapons. That and the cheese excess would make me make a mess.

Use Incendiary Reegar! That takes care of shields and it adds cheese too! You want a taco?
