You know how it is, two sides of the same coin (Anders and Fenris I mean). Did you helped Fenris with Danarius? Cause that makes him look twice as ungrateful.

Just remembered a reason you may want to avoid Exiled Prince if you already installed Legacy.  Some PC users report the Act 3 companion quest doesn't fire properly or gets stuck if Legacy is installed.  I haven't had this problem but a friend uninstalls and reinstalls Legacy every playthrough to get around it.  She doesn't mind but I'd only do that once.

I did all the companion quests except Fenris'. I never used him enough for him to bring it up. He sat in his mansion the whole time and flipped out on me when I tried to give him the old Tevinter sword and as I was already the 2h fighter in the group he had no place. The one thing I didn't understand was him showing up with City Guardsmen, Avaline was in my camp and said she ordered her husband to keep the guardsmen out of the fighting and defend the citizens.

Eh, bringing a Grey Warden sibling to MoTA fits perfectly fine as they could easily make an excuse for going there to represent the order and they do beat you there.

Fenris' appearance with Aveline depends on which side you pick and your approval rating.  As I understand it, he always sides with pro-templar Hawke, and will side with pro-mage Hawke if they're friends or 100% rivals.  A pro-mage Hawke with <or= 50% friendship but <70% rivalry can watch as he walks away in disgust.  If Hawke has >70% rivalry but isn't maxed out, Fenris will fight Hawke to the death.

I found MotA underwhelming myself. Loved Legacy. Bethany's reminiscience about Carver made it totally worth it by itself, but I really loved the Corypheus confrontation as well.

Exiled Prince is...meh. Gives you a little more information about Starkhaven but I didn't find much else about it interesting.

I kinda mailed in the fight against Cory and my team got wiped very quickly so I had to solo him from the point he did his fire arms thingy. God that was grueling, not a big fan of hp-sink bosses.

Picked up and played MOTA last night, I enjoyed it more than Legacy. It was different, finally had some colour in the setting and had a great boss fight at the end with the Duke and Leopold. Tallis was underwhelming because of the voice actress used, she never 'convinced' me she was really a Qunari given her flippant attitude, but she did have some nice chemistry with my sarcastic ladyHawke. The mage robes I got from the puzzle vaults was very underwhelming in both appearance (chantry robes? Really? You guys couldn't give something unique looking?) and in ability. Isabela and Aveline's 'side quests' were uninspired. All it was was a easy scavenger hunt in the vaults then pick up the treasure? Was hoping for more interactivity and dialogue. The wyverns were cool and as I said the boss fights were way better than the Corypheus merry go round fight. Even with all my bitching I did overall like it, and would recommend it to anyone who doesn't have it as a good side quest and break from Kirkwall.

"I know I'm going to regret this, but why are you standing there in your small clothes?"

So amusingly English. I don't know much about the writers of DA2 but the voice actors don't just have English accents, they also use so many colloquialisms. It always surprised me coming from a Canadian company.

Or what about "Muzzle the geezer. Gottit!" An east london phrase delivered in Hawke's perfect received pronunciation. Even funnier that way.

That fight is one of those once you know the trick it's easy jobbies. I'm not a fan of those either. My ps3 has a nasty habit of crashing just as I loot his corpse which is understandably hilarious.

I like the belt Duke Prosper gives you.  It seems to be a nice fit for a party member who's missing that special something.  Also, since Duke Prosper is (was?) Celene's uncle, it should make for some interesting conversation if I go with a marcher Trevelyan.  Tallis can be acceptable, grudgingly, if you leave her behind at the fork.  She'll still steal the papers, but at least you can have the satisfaction of refusing a mandatory party member.  There's supposed to be more XP/loot/quests available if you take her, but I haven't found it really matters if you do MotA after Act 1.  Better to enjoy the pretty scenery and a glimpse of Orlais and leave the annoying show-stealer (and a pointless Tal-Vashoth fight) in the tunnels.  The only actual thing you'll miss if you abandon Tallis is the fight with Baron Arlange(?-the Ferelden turnip guy), so if you want his gear, kill him when you get the first chance if you're leaving Tallis behind.  The wiki says some companion quests are only available if you bring Tallis.  They lie.  Try it sometime and know you can always go back if it doesn't work out.
