I'm trying to highlight how the PC pretty much gets away with everything and no one bats an eye but a NPC dares to leave the PC for doing something they asked them several times not to do it leads to HOW DARE HE. It missed the mark XD

After you pretty much do it first.

Maybe if alistair was more treacherous and started selling elves, people would show him more respect

What issues? You never elaborated.

Alistair is the one who throws a fit and abandons you.

Because wanting to keep him alive and suffer as a Grey Warden instead of opting for a quick execution totally means you're besties with him.

O...kay.

Why is there only one method of serving justice? Keeping Loghain alive and having him repent by sacrificing himself to kill the Archdemon seems like a perfectly reasonable way of achieving that goal.

No one who truly believed in justice would want this.

He doesn't pack his bags because you decided to go left over right. He ditches you after you pretty much tell him he's worth less to you after everything he's done than Loghain.

What game were you playing my Warden didn't say that? To paraphrase... we need all the help we can get Alistair. His childish interpretation of the Warden's action in that scenario is not the reality of the situation. Seriously. You're acting like everyone that recruited Loghain executed Alistair. Hell, my canon Warden made him king out of loyalty to him and the Theirin bloodline when he could have easily taken the throne for himself.

I'm not that emotionally invested in Alistair, tbh. This is the first time I've ever had this discussion, and I don't care enough to continue having it. I hate this phrase, but let's just agree to disagree here, because it's going nowhere.

Yeah I never said he should suck it up either. I even asked him to stay.

After you pretty much do it first. (which really is why I don't see it as a betrayal/abandonment. You do it first. Complaining about someone doing the same to you just feels petty to me).

Not an entirely true argument because had Alistair remained quiet during the landsmeet, I would have never kicked him out and everything would be fine and dandy. I think it would be an betrayal from my part if I said "Loghain, you're in, Alistair, you're not needed anymore, now bugger off" but I never did that, all I did was put differences aside from an greater good. Like I did after the joining? I wasn't too happy about being forced to be an warden, but I was willing to look past that because we had an greater goal. It's just too bad that Alistair couldn't understand that.

I know everyone who recruited Loghain didn't execute Alistair. I'm saying he tells you several times that he sees recruiting Loghain as a betrayal and he will leave if you do so. (hell I think he even goes me or him). You can say it's for all the help you need but when he just said he'd leave if you do it...and you pick Loghain anyway...

I mean there are several other people the warden could've recruited (granted you're not allowed to do this obvious as hell thing) that aren't Loghain.

Technically, u only become prince consort. Anora will pretty much be the one pulling strings while the warden.....disappears somewhere.

The warden is king in DA2.

Anora probably thought that her husband deserved that much.

This discussion is going all over the place, and it's pretty unsatisfying for me, so I'm going to end it here.

Fair enough.

Is hardly quiet

You can talk to him several times during the missions as well I mean hell form the beginning of the game he reacts positively to you picking the whole "We'll get revenge on Loghain." choice. And yeah he probably would've understood it better with someone who didn't in his eyes get all his friends and family killed (along with his father figure) and then had the nerve to blame them for the deed.

If Loghain had (shock and horror) admitted to being overrun in Ostagar and tried to save what he could instead of bullshit like the wardens leading them into a trap, poisoning Eamon or hadn't constantly harassed them up tot hat point Alistair probably would've been more reasonable.

Probably....lol
And the warden disappears anyway in every playthrough.

P.S. Anora is one tough girl to get in the bed. No womder cailan had trouble.

This was definitely bad on Loghain's part.

Letting go of the lady part as i have no prefernce for gender, but yes she is strong enough and cud have been a great warden. Atleast she sees some logic.

Honestly it'd been awesome if he had been more reasonable (no blaming **** on the wardens cause A. No one believed it and B. Just made him look like a dick) and had a nice "You think I wanted to leave some of my men behind to die?!?" scene where he does admit charging that early was a mistake and he tried to fix it as best he could. That'd give me more sympathy for him than the little girls line.

SAME. Then we got teased with that chick in Awakening who bites it -_-

CASS *snuggles* I shall always hide behind her shield on my mage dudes <3

She kind of, sort of does. Or, at least, one of the female Inquisitor voice selections is Ser Cauthrien's voice actor, Alix Wilton Regan.

(I know what you really meant, of course. I liked Ser Cauthrien, too.)

I'm gonna recreate Ser Cauthrien as my female inquisitor!
