If you have not heard, a list of achievements for Dragon Age Inquisiton leaked onto the net, and one of them apparently is earned for defeating Corphyeus. What role could he be playing in Inquisition?

It's neither been confirmed, nor denied. I personally think it's fake, but we can't know for sure.

There are like ten Mageisters of Old why pick then one that is maybe dead, and snubs the people that didn't play Legacy. Half that list was kill this and name dropping. It is a fake.

Achievement list aside, it would be cool for someone else from the Tevinter Imperium to show up, let alone someone who has the potential to challenge one of the Chantry's core beliefs. I assume the Chantry would call Corypheus' declarations re: the Black City to be false heresy, but I'm all about shaking up the status quo from time to time.

 

Assuming, of course, that his spirit managed to survive Legacy. Which, knowing this series, it probably did.

Hawke going through Legacy or not doesn't change anything. Hawke bled a lot in DA2, and the dwarves could just get the sibling's blood, then the GWs would release Cory.

It has been said that the events of all DLCs happened, whether you played them or not. Corypheus always gets freed by Hawke, even if Varric hasn't told that particular story.

Actually if you go to the main site map there is a flag to do with Corypheus.    If you read it, I think you will see why there is a good chance he is going to crop up at some point whether the achievement list was genuine or not.

The Inquisitor is Corypheus inhabiting the Old God Baby who took over the Warden's body Beyond the Fade and who's master plan to take over the world by creating a crisis from which to save it is being financed by Hawke.

 

What?  Sounds about as reliable as the 'leaked' achievements.
