Nothing new just some talk about her past and how she turned into mixed fenris and sebastian.
People rarely stay the same over a 10 year period? The hell? I strongly beg to differ with that line. Especially with a character like Leliana, who does a complete 180 in her personality. She goes from completely likeable to a monstrous b**** over the course of two games.
In the only footage we've seen of her this game, she's just been tortured. Can you really blame her for not being in a sunny mood?
The demo certainly shows a darker side of her personality, but that side has always been there. She just didn't show it to the Warden at first.

That's a little unfair. She always had a cold side, and the circumstances we saw her in were hardly conducive to pleasant chit chat.

Which is weird, because Sebastian was just a mix of Leliana and Nathanial.

Well to be honest it depends on person and life experiences for example im totally different person then i was few years ago.If you will end as assassin for about 10 years pretty much you will change.

I wouldn't said that he had a lot from leliana but nothing rly from nathaniel.

Yeaaaah, I'm with Andraste_Reborn on this one. I wouldn't be particularly perky if I'd just been released from a torture chamber, either. We don't even know how long she's been in there.
I'm fairly certain that Leliana, while she has undergone some development in the decade since she's been in focus for us, isn't that way all the time. That would make for a very depressing game, indeed. All we've been told is that she appears a lot colder now than she did in Origins, and I find that a completely believable change.
Leliana's character arc has always been a bit confusing to me. Especially with the case of hardened Leliana. It seems like she's given up being a religious fanatic in DA:O then comes DA2 she's working directly under the Divine... It just seems a bit off somehow.
Now it seems she is both hardened and a religious person both. Maybe she's bipolar? (Joking mainly, but yeah...)

They swapped personalities now morrigan is nice and social one and leliana is bi*** that is isolated from others in her room. ![]()
Honestly i would laugh if that was in case. ![]()
I'll reserve judgement until I see her outside of a combat zone.

IMO hardening was merely her acceptance of the part of her that enjoys espionage and adventuring, not a rejection of her religious beliefs. Remember, she says "the Maker made this world both beautiful and dangerous," during the hardening dialogues... religion has always been at the core of her character.

We both know Morrigan dislikes love silly.
Love is not a weakness.

Nathanial was a nobleman who was sent away at a young age and who's family was killed and lands and titles usurped. Sebastian was a prince who was sent away at a young age and who's family was killed and who's lands and titles were usurped. Nathanial's major story gift is his grandfather's bow. Sebastian's major story gift is his grandfather's bow.

I'm not sure you really understand her character if you blabber something like this
I mean what do you expect the world is in chaos, the warden (in my case he romanced her) is gone, everything is turning to ****
Well I suppose she should sing us something again?
My own opinion is that Leliana was the proverbial optimist, even a little if you 'hardened' her in DA:O. I have the impression that a lot has changed in her life since then, and her character has changed more than we know, even without her being the one sent into the trap (which we likely have no idea about, except for the demo).

His family wasn't killed only his father sister is alive and perhaps other as well.Besides i meant more personality than backstory.

Well to be honest i don't think it is becuase of "world in chaos" rather slow change over years as we had already world in chaos or rather country in chaos in dao.

His brother was killed, too.
I read that Sebastian was intended to be Nathaniel at first, but since BW's gaming data showed a lot of people killing Nathaniel in DA:A and they were already bringing Anders back whether he died or not, they created a new character.
I'm going to agree with KommanderShep here, there's no new information.

I cant think of a person I know that is the same now as they were a decade ago.
And given her history its maybe more of a slight left turn then total 180 not to mention what we have seen from her in DAI's the context is she was just tortured by a tevinter mage and there is something abnormal about his son. As in given Dorians reaction to seeing the kid I expect he was dead, near death or something along those lines.

Her Hardened version seems to be the canon version...
Besides, she was pretty chill in DA2 when you meet her. Not to mention that it has been many years since DA:O ended and time changes people.
