About damn time, I was getting really tired of all the Mage-centric gameplay videos.
Thank you for posting the link. I noticed in a couple places some moves I'm looking forward to.
Dual wielding rogue vid... FINALLY.
its no problem just saw that it wasnt up although since i roll a mage all the time its nice that they finally showed the rogue for you guys
Okay, it could have been spamming a skill, but basic attacks now seem to be largely stabs and thrusts instead of slashes like in DA2. I think I like that more, daggers in DA have always been weapons more for stabbing through weak points in armor than using them like razor blades. Fact is that slashing with a dagger isn't going to do near as much as stabbing. And the attack speed is good, fast but not stupidly fast like in DA2.
If I'm right... I like it. A lot.

Thanks, nice to see a rogue.
A rogue.
*cough*
Anyway, thanks.
I don't know what to think about that combat. I really wish we could have longswords back. At least one.
Did Sera just run through that wall of fire? The image isn't clear enough for me to tell if there was any damage taken from that. I sure hope there was.
I believe they have said FF is a toggle this time around, but maybe that was a fever dream. I liked the animations a lot better than DA2's (and DAO's for that matter).

From Kotaku
There's no level-scaling, so you won't have to worry about getting crushed by bandits that should be five levels lower than you. There will also be various difficulty sliders, like one for friendly fire. "We're trying to have more variety," Laidlaw said.
You know, I was all set to play a Dalish Mage for my first Inquisitor... but after seeing this footage I'm starting to waver. ![]()
Stealth, thrown daggers, backstab, chain jump, evasion... it's gonna be tough.
I really, really want to see a Knight Enchanter and Assassin gameplay.
The stab/thrust animations look good. That ghost ability where he kinda slinks towards the target like a shadow looked really cool. There's a whirlwind attack there that looks very similar to the faeblade power attack in Amalur, and I'm loving it. Kinda had to skim a bit because so many spoilers, but there was some bombing there too, wasn't there? There must be bombs. What is a rogue without poisons and bombs.
Also, some more good archery moves from Sera there. The DW/Archery build for my first Inquisitor is looking very viable. You can hold a decent close distance with the bow, and when it gets too close, unleash hell on a dagger.
Very happy to finally see rogues getting some love. We're a shady lot, but we like our shinies too.
Is this the first human quisitor video?
Is this the first human quisitor video?
Only in that it features the rogue and they actually bring down the dragon in this one.
And... you changed your post. ![]()
Yes, I think it is the first human gameplay video, certainly the first rogue...

In no small part because Sera scores the Dragon Age equivalent of a Shotgun blast to the head with her special ability while the dragon is incapacitated.

I'm pretty sure that's the Stealth ability, which has been a Rogue talent since DAO. Am very curious about that chain hook/hookshot tool, though, that looks like a fun weapon/ability to use.

Caught me by surprise as well! I was watching it, thinking "Oh, the dragon's still got a fair bit of heal.... WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT SERA!"
Was that, like, some kinda nuclear-tipped arrow?
My first playthrough is still gonna be dalish mage but it will be cool to play a rogue i never did in dao or da2 it looks really cool

Kind of unrelated, but I have to say, what they did with Iron Bull's personality (same thing as with Vega) is probably the only way you could pull it off without it feeling bad. Just like Vega, I wasn't expecting the humor.

i had a hard time seeing it. I'll go back and check what I missed.
This makes my rogue-loving heart happy.
Looks good.
My first Dude!Inquisitor is going to be a Dalish rogue, dual-wielding spec. Awww yeaaaah.
