Only in that it features the rogue and they actually bring down the dragon in this one.

And... you changed your post.

Yes, I think it is the first human gameplay video, certainly the first rogue...

This was a human inquisitor

though not a rogue, a two handed warrior

Is it news that components for enchanting come (Probably not exclusively) from closing Fade Rifts?

It was in the Redcliffe castle part of the vid, after the dragon kill.  You were probably still in awe.  I missed it first time.

Yeah, when Male Inquisitor closes the rift in Redcliffe castle, Cameron Lee gives a "Protip" about looting the shards that remain after the rift is closed for enchanting components.

Interesting... I'm curious to see how that meshes with traditional enchanting methods.

The stealth skills look dope, overall the rogue skills look amazing and not overly cartoony like I felt they were in DA2

Just a shot in the dark, but if I had to guess, I'd say the components from the rift gives you a base that you can etch a rune in, the base itself multiplies the quality tier much like a standard material.

Must be D:AI, because it plays exactly the same. Please correct me if i'm wrong.

Is this an attempt at a joke?

You know, I was all set to play a Dalish Mage for my first Inquisitor... but after seeing this footage I'm starting to waver.

Stealth, thrown daggers, backstab, chain jump, evasion... it's gonna be tough.

I really, really want to see a Knight Enchanter and Assassin gameplay.

HOLY CRAP! I think you're right, there did seem to be a dagger throw at one point. If they finally let us throw daggers in gameplay, finally, then I think this is going to be awesome.

I loved rogues in DAO and definitely liked them less in DA2. But DAI's version looks to be far surpassing both so far.

Another thing I really like in DAi is that they're going back to DAO-style stealth - with no time limit. :)

I thought it was Dragon Age: Inquisition, because it looks and plays the same.

It's Dragon's Dogma though, my bad. Kind of obvious because the dragon isn't as pretty as in DA:I. Gosh, stupid me.

Saw it yesterday and I was glad to see a new class and race in a demo. Don't get me, I love the mage Quanri just wanted to see something else.

Would be good if they stopped showing the same area and pathing over and over again.....

Skyrim did the same thing in their E3 and pre-release footage.

Bleakfalls Burrow, over and over and over again.

I don't even...

How the hell could you possibly confuse the two? This is like getting Witcher 2 and Skyrim confused.

He's trying*and failing* to be funny/clever.

Don't want to watch the video because its the same old game play footage they have been showing, only with a Human rogue.

Can someone at least confirm that the Halo jumping rogues from DA2 are gone?  Killed my immersion watching my rogue jump 20 feet into the air from enemy to enemy.  Like I was suddenly playing Dragon Ball Z.

That is gone, yes. However, their dodge "roll" is pretty much a leap that goes about 10 feet forward and about 4 feet high. Not as ridiculous, but still pretty crazy.

Thanks.  At least its fixed to a small degree.  No Master Chief Inquisitors leaping around.

I don't know why but the video has reminded me of how strange it looks for daggers to be on the back. I think those daggers would look better by the character's side instead.

I'm liking the new animations of the rogue though. There's none of that ninja flipping and jumping crap for regular strikes and thrusting the daggers as an attack seems more appropriate too.

Speaking of dodging, we still haven't seen a mage character dodge have we? Apparently they teleport.

You can say it takes balls but it depends on the knife you're going with...

Those had no enchantments, and they looked like average metal to me... Besides, their size should not allow them to piece all the way to the vitals, they should only make shallow cuts. I mean, gud maker, Chuck Norris is totally jelly right now.

Well, that's how the Raptor family did it in the age of the dinosaurs. Give them enough cuts and eventually they'll bleed to death.
