I know a lot of people don't like the auto attack and auto loot / loot all option in DA II. You know when you spam 'R' and you automatically attack the nearest enemy or collect the nearest loot.

But I would really appreciate if we can leave it be as an option. Going back to the DAO, I missed that option the most. I know a lot of people believe that it is not very traditional, to use auto targeting but it saves me time and feels more naturally than clicking enemies individually.

If you could do this bioware, I would be most grateful.

or have companions pick loot up for you as well?  :)

I had no idea there was an auto-loot feature in DA2.

But I have no objection. As long as it's not like ME where the gear from a geth that just fell off a cliff magically appears in your pack. Auto-loot should have to be triggered by the player.

It didn't really have an auto loot function. R is the default for tab targeting/looting :P And it's handy :) I'd rather it be default Tab, but It is a feature I'd love to stay in, if not for actual auto-attack itself.

All the functions should be mappable anyway, so what the default is shouldn't matter.

I like Tab to highlight selectable objects (like in DAO and NWN).

I had no idea there was an auto-loot feature in DA2.

The "targetnext" button loots as well when there is nothing to attack.

Basically it targets the nearest target, makes the character to walk to the enemy and autoattack him. When everyone is dead targets the nearest corpse, loots and confirms the looting. If there is no corpse, it targets everything that the character can interact with.

It's handy cause you don't need to target anything, just spam the button. I bind it on a mouse side button.

Auto-attack is a must. Auto-looting would be nice as well since clocking on glowing dead things hardy rates high on my lists of things I want to do.

It would be great if there is an ability like mana siphone, but for loot. You could stand and all the loot would swirl towards you. You should still have the ability of choosing what to keep and what to discard.

Speaking of loot, it would be great, if our mount also carries an additional backpack. Like an additional storage chest.

I really liked that feature in DA2, actually.  It annoyed the CRAP out of me to not have an "attack next enemy" button in Origins and I campaigned for it RELENTLESSLY.  I can do without auto-loot but I want my "next enemy" button, thank you.

I would never use an auto-target button.

I don't like having to pause to get enemies to stop moving, then scroll around until I get one onscreen, then click on one.  That was annoying in Origins--when my current character's target died, they'd stand around going "derp, are we in combat" until I clicked on something.

I just want to be able to hit a button and say "attack that, fool".  Much more efficient.

Albeit, the BEST way would be to actually let us SCROLL through enemies instead of getting stuck on the nearest one.  But that might be too difficult for them.

Okay, that last part was annoying. There should be some way to get the currently selected character to act according to his combat settings when his current target dies.

Or even just let us deselect everyone.
