I don't get it, why does this surprise any of you? Living things are a lot harder to animate than machines.

You can't fly a dragon because of air defence system shield spreading over Thedas.
Flying is overrated - Wardens resigned from riding griffons too, didn't they?
Besides, what would happen if a mage terrorist boarded a dragon?

lets just hope the quizzy's archery tree is good unlike da2 were all archer companion trees were better on paper

Not really into the dragon mount thing, I don't really think of them as mounts (in DA anyway). When it comes to dragons I'm hoping they're still rare encounters like in DA:O and DA II. It's not the same to me if they're just a common enemy that pop up regularly.
