Hey Everyone,
I almost just finished playing Mass Effect 3 for the first time, which has been a long time coming. I love the series, and even did full ME1 and ME2 playthroughs to transfer save files and get the full story experience. I'm a hopeless Idealist, so I've gone almost completely Paragon the entire way through the series (even following walkthroughs to make sure I didn't screw anything up).
Naturally, despite my best efforts, I got to the final choice in the final mission and got the big ol' **** YOU! With no final persuasion option available. Nearly one hundred hours over three games searching out every last side mission, loyal squad member, and good deed I could squeeze out of this imaginary universe. All culminating in a divine let down because of some fine print caveat I must have missed along the way.
As I said, I haven't even finished the conclusion; it was still running in the background while researched my apparent failure and made a Bioware account to make this post. I was so disappointed, and I have no idea what when wrong or where. I don't even give a **** about the ending anymore. Don't get me wrong, I love the **** out of this game. I was so immersed and invested; that's exactly why it was such a letdown to be denied that final check mark on the long list of experiences.
I know this is old hat; that much is obvious from a Google search. But God damn... whoever came up with this was a dick.
Sincerely,
Qwasi
