Well, so much for the most technologically advanced country in the world... ;)

If you take a good look at the world you find that doesn't really mean much. It just means most of the world is still in the crapper. And that includes large parts of the USA. Hail Capitalism!

Okie dokie, I will get the numbers posted for you then, but technically, Europe and Japan are more advanced technology wise, US is just military hardware advanced. We are behind those two in cellphone technology.

EDIT:  It wont let me post on this laptop, have to wait till I get home then. There is another thread about this, I posted all the current information there at that time. Regardless, it still, should be an option if they can do it, or have the time.

The US only has a very small percentage of actual DSL/Cable type connections, where most are cellphone users that are online. The consoles and some pc's are not even connected online.

Can't wait to see your source for this. The last data I saw was that tethering use is very, very uncommon, under 5%.

Wiki Internet Useage... as of Q4 2013.

http://en.wikipedia...._Internet_usage

This was one of the sources, there is another I cant locate at the moment for current numbers. This is ok if wanting to use The Keep to build world states, but once done, there is several people that wont get to download to their Inquisition.  The numbers show people on net, not who is connected with Xbox or PS consoles.

EDIT: yes, 2012 and 13 are both estimated versus previous set.

Nothing on that page supports your statement about US broadband, you know.

Edit: you may have been confused by the methodology there. A single household broadband connection will on average have more than one user, since the average household size is greater than one. So that 28% figure is highly misleading, as the chart notes say. That number of household broadband subscriptions is 74% of US households.

The Pew folks found that 70% of American adults have home (i.e., non-mobile) broadband. Although this does include some pretty crappy connections; IIRC they counted 4 MBPS as broadband.

It's what we do here. Anyway, keeps the thread alive.

70 or 74% still means that there are plenty of people without broadband access. I don't know what percentage of gamers we're talking about, though.

70 isnt 100 which is full population not gamers.  But it still supports the idea of having an option.

Honestly, It wont happen though. Too much work.  :P   Technically, this thread is a waste, there was one in Scuttlebutt about the exact samething. It died.

Right. Gamers would be more likely to have broadband, wouldn't they?
