I didn't know that, but it makes sense given Microsoft's wanting to remove Gold as a requirement for certain apps.
But I imagine most with EA Access would also have a Gold account.
Yeah, most apps, if not all, don't require gold. Personally, I am glad to see them moving away from that. Especially since they don't do the Family Plan anymore. My friends and I saved quiet a bit going in together for that.
Also, I don't think this is a bad deal. I just wish early access to games wasn't included. If the demo or "trial" was going public eventually and the service just provided early access (think ME3's games and contests), I don't think it would carry such a sting.
I am just thinking, what next? Paying for release dates? "This game comes out March 30, but for the low price of $9.99, you can get it Febuary 28th!"
