I think it's reasonable to assume that the EA Access trial will include a part of the game that they haven't talked about yet. That is the simplest reading of Cameron's comment.

 

They've already talked about a lot of things, including a character creator - and making EA Access a demo of a character creator isn't awfully exciting to your average player, I would suspect.

 

From that interview, he also said that your save file from Early Access would transfer into the main game. So, the only options that really makes sense for is if early access is the beginning or game, or the character creator and some other part of the game, and they just let you keep any characters you create.

Depends on how long you spend in the CC... You can get a lot done in 6 hours if you're getting the full game, but just have a time-limit on how much you can play.  In fact, in my first playthrough of DAO, I managed to get to Zathrian's camp after Lothering, inside of 6 hours.  Sure it'd suck to do that on the 13th, and then have to wait another 5 days for the game to come out.  But it's still better than nothing.

It may vary game to game. And that's probably what they'll be discussing as it gets closer. I hope it's not just a times thing and we get access to a portion of the game for an unlimited amount of time. I was hoping to try out each class and race to see the differences.

I feel like a game like Madden though, six hours would give you a good feel for the game.

What's been stated by EA is only that titles chosen for this treatment will offer "at least two gameplay hours" and the only title we now know the system for -- Madden -- is six. So it's impossible to state how Inquisition will be treated, or even if this is the method by which it will be implemented (although I'd say that's likely). It could be two hours, it could be four, it could be six. It could be ten. We don't know yet unfortunately.

From my recollection you had 75 minutes from when you exited the starting dungeon.

I mean, my pre-order is for the PS4 haha, and thats where I will play the most. But I would contemplate changing it if it meant just seeing the CC a week sooner

 

I'm just surprised since EA would make more money that way (I would assume)? Not having to go through Microsoft and all.

Because there is no super PC manufacturer (like Sony or Microsoft) to pay EA any incentive.
