Yeah, if you were going to buy digital anyway, then 10% off $60 would save you $6, and it only costs $5 to do a single month of EA access...so in that case you'd definitely want to do it.
yeah but would you be able to get the pre order things if you ordered the deluxe edition since the game comes out in the usa on the 14th if no then, its waste because some of us that have pre ordered the deluxe would get the shaft if you wanted to try to get the digital version. if you could get the digital version of dragon age i deluxe edition stuff then yeah i would be happy to go digital, but i really would love to have physical copy as well

EA said exclusions and/or additional conditions may apply. So, unless you have inside information, it'd be better to wait until EA announces more information.
*Coughs* The one you quoted there was Allan Schumacher. Granted, he isn't of the marketing department (unless he changed jobs, but afaik I've got a feeling it wouldn't end well if Allan changed to marketing
), but he's an Bioware employee ^^ So telling him to have 'inside information' is... ironic.
Couldn't.
We'd just datamine it for spoilers and torrent it.
LOL... Last time was just Bioware's own fault. Who puts up an demo which includes all the non-relevant datafiles for the portions you demo but give the story away?

To be honest this isn't surprising, didn't they announce a partisanship for next gen games last year, just didn't go into details on what it meant?

It's either a full game access a week early for a bribe, basically. Or the glorified demo, that you have to pay extra to access. Stupid both ways.

Yes, and at E3 it was about DLC, not about getting to play the actual game earlier than on other platforms. Heck, Bioware even has made a comment on this forum before stating that demos actually hurt sales but I guess this doesn't apply if EA can make money from demos.
EA keeps pushing the boundaries until there comes a time we have to pay a subscription on playing any single player game, even after having paid full price for it already. Along the way there will not have been enough protests to stop it from happening. It is the same as western gamers used to hate the thought of microtransactions in their games and we know how that ended.

I wonder how long the trial lets you play. I want to say most trials are timed, and I doubt seriously you'll be able to finish the game. Other then that, why wasn't it offered for pc and ps4 users? Microsoft is really snuggled up to EA it would seem. Is Xbone in fact one of the unannounced love interests?

It sounds like what Playstation Now is trying to do, so of course Microsoft is going to try to compete with it in some fashion. So they made a deal with EA to come up with something.

Charging for a demo isn't exactly good business...
If people pay for it it is. Which they will...

LOL. I don't know. Still prefer hard copies, but that 10% is tempting.
Indeed, you'd only have to spends $300 per year on EA games for it to pay for itself.

Not unless they announced a new Dead Space...That doesn't go off the ending of DS3...And make BF Hardline free. Then I might fall for it. Alas, my soul has a price.

being able to play a trial of the game a week before release is cool and all, but doesn't justify me getting an X1 and signing up for this service.
I can simply wait 1 one more week to play the full game, just as I can wait until the DLC is released on other platforms.
now.......if this morphed into complete exclusivity of DLC for the X1, or EA games being X1 exclusive........THEN that would draw my ire.

DA:I and FIFA '15. Got only $$180 to go!
For those with a broken sarcasm meter. That was sarcasm.

Jokes on them, I ain't paying
Although, I do wonder how long it'll be before other companies like Ubisoft and Activision start doing this after it is announced as successful.

Won't be doing this despite having an XB1. The discount is almost completely nullified by the subscription fee so I don't see the point for me personally since it's only DA and ME that I'm interested in that are EA related. 10% on DLC's would be next to nothing. Not going to be overly upset by not being able to buy a bag of sweets with what I would have saved.
