For all that is holy, why are there no quivers!?!?

Ok, I am getting tired of this trend in sword and sorcery RPGs these days that have decided that bows somehow magically create arrows from thin air. I am an archer in RL and one of the coolest, and most essential, things about a bow is the quiver. No quiver is like a gun with no clip, it is stupid. I mean, even the in-game animations show the characters arm going back to where a quiver would be before firing an arrow, but NO QUIVER, it makes it look silly and looses a lot of the immersion. 

 

I find it hard to believe that a team of devs that could put together such an amazing looking game couldn't manage to add a simple model for a quiver, maybe even add it as an equip-able item for the off-hand when using a bow, that way you can even add stat boosts to it. It is such a small thing, yet it kills immersion for me, and I LOVE to play with archer characters, but I probably won't in this game since there is NO QUIVER! 

 

I am not saying that I won't play/buy it if this isn't fixed, the rest of the game looks awesome, I am just saying that it is a silly thing to leave out for no reason.

 

And that is my rant for the day, I really hope that someone from the dev team actually sees this, cause it would be awesome to have it added.

True. And I also recall one of the developers tweeting they finally added quivers. And since it wasn't shown in today's video the footage you saw may have been from some time ago.

Note: details like quivers is a feature which is likely a low priority for Bioware and only gets added after the more important features are in. Hence, why it only just got added. Not to mention you have got to understand you are looking at a game in development here and not everything you may want is going to already be implemented. If everything you may want to see is already being shown the game should theoretically already be in your hands.

As I've said before, the quivers are there. They're just stored inside your invisible backpacks.

They literally got quivers working in the game last week.

 

They're in there.

I'm sure they will be in, after all Hawke had one and so did Sebastian when using Bows.

Ok, I am calmed by your responses. I only just started seeing the gameplay videos, and haven't been following every bit of news. I have just been continually disappointed in a lot of recent RPGs that have bows, but no quivers in them, and I was really hoping that this awesome looking game wouldn't follow in the trend

Yeah, the build they're using for the demo is likely a spruced up (in terms of textures, looks, etc) alpha build, and they probably haven't updated it since the first demo presentation. Quivers were added in after that time. And all of the Dragon Age games have had quivers, so you're golden.

i think alot of people tend to ignore the fact that this game is still in alpha, what we saw at E3 was far from the final product and doesnt reflect how the final presentation of the game will be, just give bioware time with this stuff, i dont think they will miss a beat this time

I disagree entirely.  Leave out the details like this, and you're left with a pretty hollow RPG experience.

First, the right word is magazine, not clip. A clip is a type of magazine, not the other way around.

Second, I totally agree.

Also, it's been answered before.

So you don't want devs to spend time on basic logic, among other things? Hope you enjoy plots that make no sense then.

Well that's great!

But for the majority of gamers (me included), an overall immersive experience is important, which includes a visual presentation of things that should be present.

Nothing is more immersion breaking than hinting at a physical asset that isn't actually visible.
