I see a lot of talk on the forums about people being jealous of the bad guys because they have Phaestons XXVII or Hornets XXXIV. Well, today I met a guy who decided to level the playing field.
Is that just a visual bug or does the dude really have a Valiant 255?
The real crime here is that this pug is using cyclonic 4 and stronghold 5 on an on-host f*cking vanguard despite being able to out dps Harbinger himself.
He's a scrub for not having a matching equipment!

If you're going to get the guns to such a high level, might as well get the equipment hacked as well.
Just realised this guy has a CP number that ends in a 7. How is that even possible? I don't think you can even have a CP number that doesn't end in 0 or 5. Very strange.
It's a PC modification that makes your weapons able to be level 255.
Due to the way everything works though, it'll do the damage of a level 10 weapon so it was entirely pointless to do that except to make people go "wtf?" =P

I actually dropped into the dude's Collectors/Jade gip. It was kind of laggy and buggy as hell, I couldn't see the host, couldn't see collector nets, couldn't take cover and couldn't interact with the environment (revive, start objectives etc..) But it was my last game before heading to work so I decided to suck it up and keep going.
The game itself was very mediocre. We extracted in 21 something minutes, which isn't that good but isn't bad either, so I wouldn't say it affected gameplay. If he actually had a rank 255 gun, the game would have gone much faster.
I only noticed the Valiant 255 when we were in lobby. I tried asking how he did that but got no response back, because.. you know.. Pc mute race.

You could actually do what people were thinking here by simply just boosting the max level damage of a weapon that hasn't had its damage altered in a balance change(server side binary files override client side ones).
I've done things like a Cluster Grenade that fires 50 fragments.

I guess that in a similar way you can't make things like Novaguards with Anhiliation Field...right? (they're my wet dream....).

It would be a lot harder to change abilities on kits around, since those are hard coded into the kits themselves. It's not something you could do with a simple change to the coalesced files.
Although one can Make Annihilation Field last much longer so they don't ever need to refresh it =P

Lol, I guess an actual level 255 weapon would one-shot Harbinger himself, shame if it doesn't.
