Hello, I am not sure if this belongs here, so sorry in advance if I screwed up ^^'

A friend of mine and I want to play a multiplayer session of Neverwinter Nights 1 where she (my friend) is going to play as Sand from Neverwinter Nights 2.

However, we can't find a premade voiceset, nor Sand's voicefiles in the NWN2 code.

If anyone of you knows what the files are named and how we can extract them from the game, please tell me.
All I know is that all voicefiles are named .wav even though they are technically .mp3 files.

I also found this here but I tested it and it doesn't seem to work with NWN1 (at least not the NWN2 soundsets).
So maybe somebody knows how to extract Sand's voice from that file?

Thank you so much for your help in advance ;3;

in the file
<install>\Neverwinter Nights 2\Data\VO.zip

looks like Sand's voices are gl_sand_* -- numbered "0000" through "0126". Most of those are spoken lines in the OC, but his voiceset seems to start at 'gl_sand_0078' and goes to the end

Alright, I did it so far ... I have the correct files, correctly named and in the correct format.
And now I seriously struggle to actually put them in game :/

I did find a tutorial, but I just don't understand what I am supposed to do (partially because my English isn't the best).

Could anyone convert it for me and then send me the file?

Here is a .zip with all the soundfiles.

Thank you UvU

i'm an NwN2 guy, and you should probly take this further in the NwN forums, but i found a few things out of curiosity:

1. looks like you'll need a .SSF editor
- note that one's for NwN2, but as long as you limit the filenames to 16 characters or less I'd think it works ok for NwN also.

1a. There's also a soundset editor for NwN, located at Sorcerers.net, Soundset File Editor by DDraigcymraeg

1b. The NwN2 toolset has a built-in .SSF editor that looks like it'd work fine (with max 16 char filenames for NwN... 32 for NwN2). Maybe the Aurora toolset has an editor also.

2. nwn.wikia Docs:
SoundSet
Soundset.2da
Soundset.2da (contents)

.ssf

Basically the procedure is/seems to be take your files put them in a SoundSetFile, and reference that file in Soundset.2da. All files, including the .wavs (.mp3s) should likely go in the \Override folders of both players.

ps. nice job on the soundfiles, btw

a thought just occurred to me: why not try copying the .SSF from NwN2

in Data\SoundSets.zip

vs_Sand.sff
