I think that's how Focus powers work, but I don't know if they are limited to specific characters...

Im all for it if they are long CD (so use with care) AND if the difficulty is up to par. I found both DA:O and DA:2 easy on insanity. The only exceoton being very early game. But the early game is normally really hard on increased difficulty due to lack of combos and skills. Its too late in development to implement atm though?

I would hope that Focuses (Foci?) function as "Limit Breaks" for everybody. I'm sure they won't be character specific, but they are definitely class specific.

i dont think this would work, since that one power would more than likely be better than another and as such that would affect your party choices like in DA2 but on a much lesser degree, i think bioware have made everyone almost very similar in terms of skills to make it easier to play the way you want to with you want to and how you want them to play, like you see cassandra as a sword and board user but you could change her skills and make her a two handed user and thats likewise for everyone from what i have seen/ heard
