Out of context? The quotes are perfectly clear in what they mean. What's the proper context for: “We are moving toward a new world order, the world of communism. We shall never turn off that road.”

–Mikhail Gorbachev, 1987

Yeah, but Stalin said stuff like that too, and Lenin, and Trotsky, and Khrushchev. It's kinda in the Communist Manifesto to spread Communism to the world.

And really, Communism is a weird thing, sure Marx thought it was inevitable and perfect, and Russians got all hyped over it, despite Karl Marx being a pretty well known Russiaphobe and said stuff like "Russians should never run railways".

Hey now, 1984 is a good book.

Very good, as is Animal Farm.

But It's not very likely to happen like alot of these people think.

The communists are coming!!! Then we must ensure that all our precious bodily fluids maintain their integrity in light of this grave threat!

Book thread?

1984, Animal Farm. I thought Animal Farm was better, a bit subtler and more ominous at the end.

And, for no reason whatsoever, I am going to bring up H.G.Wells. He's a great author, mixing sci-fi and slight horror. For me personally the most disturbing of his books was The Island of Doctor Moreau.

Then of course there's always Michael Creighton, with his many many excellent novels (you might like State of Fear, OP, though it's not really so conspiracy-theory minded).

I'm not entirely convinced that you know who Mikhail Gorbachev is, or why him making that statement is completely normal.

Communism was created by international bankers as a way of conning the workers back into peasantry while they (the elite) live in ivory towers.

The balls of those men are made out of much tougher metal than that tower.

Gorbachev?

You do realize that he basically surrendered to the US and helped strike a major blow to communism throughout the world right?

You do you think he planned it? Because that would be fun-E.

Because that's the country to start with for this "con" isolated WW1 era Russia!

The perfect strategy!

I know a guy who lives in or very near Russia (he's never clear on where exactly he lives) and occasionally he points me to some of those cams. pretty amazing, in a horrifyingly wonderful way. In one of them, construction workers had completely torn line a half-mile stretch of road up so it was just mud. And there were a bunch of tractor trailers on either side, waiting for them to pause in their work so they could drive through. For the ones that couldn't make it themselves, they chained it to a construction-thingy-vehicle (wow, such privilege, much cluelessness) and pulled it through. Was quite amazing.

What's the proper context for: “The drive of the Rockefellers and their allies is to create a one-world government combining supercapitalism and Communism under the same tent, all under their control. Do I mean a conspiracy? Yes, I do. I am convinced there is such a plot, international in scope, generations old in planning, incredibly evil in intent.”

–Rep. Larry P. MacDonald, killed in Korean Air Lines 007, 1983

That was the exact opposite goal of communism, and not even close to what Marx was.

Russia's a poor country, it would have been stupid for them to do that. And anyway, the money and production is taken by the government (or was), not by capitalists.

I'm trying to play the straight man here, but it's getting harder and harder.

That isn't a quote proving anything.

That's a quote of a guy saying he believes there is a conspiracy without providing any proof of said conspiracy.

Simply saying something doesn't make it true, otherwise I would have a working replica of the USS Enterprise and be off this sphere at warp speed.

Here's confirmation of the conspiracy he's talking about:

“Some even believe we are a part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure – one world, if you will. If that’s the charge, I stand guilty and I am proud of it.”
–David Rockefeller, Memoirs.

His point is that he died on an airflight, so obviously, he must have been on to something.

If you disappear tomorrow, some people might think that you actually did leave

Wow, I'm surprised.

At how out of context that is.

If I disappear tomorrow, it's because the secret project in my basement that none of you need to worry about was a success.

Or because I got drunk and passed out for a few hours. Either one works.

This should help with getting a proper context:

"We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis...and the nations will accept the New World Order.."[1] David Rockefeller

Also, David Rockefeller funded Hitler.

We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected the promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world-government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the National autodetermination practiced in past centuries.-- David Rockefeller in an address to a Trilateral Commission meeting in June of 1991

Whatever the price of the Chinese Revolution, it has obviously succeeded not only in producing more efficient and dedicated administration, but also in fostering high morale and community of purpose. The social experiment in China under Chairman Mao's leadership is one of the most important and successful in human history.– David Rockefeller

David Rockefeller is a nasty man.
