I'm guessing bullshitters such as Alex Jones spend like 75% of their air time speaking of absolutely demented crap. 9/11 was an inside job, chemtrails cause earthquakes, Illuminanti RULES US ALL rabbletrabblerabble...
...And 25% talking about real, genuinely terrifying issues. Such as unsettling amounts of influence corporations, their lobbyists and the like have to highest tiers of power. Israeli-Jews-gone-Nazi, fast food chains, pharmaceutical industry,Rule-of-Two ISP monopoly, NRA. It is genuinely unsettling how present desires and designs of these entities/corporations are even in every day life of a normal (american) person now. Technically it is pretty necessary that somebody does some measure of shoutcasting about these things. . Thing is, if you've just spend 2 hours speaking of chem trails and controlled demolitions (with little bit of reptile overlords thrown in for good measure!) , the stench of bulllshit is gonna stick with you, even if you manage to spend 30 mins making perfectly valid amount of sense on some genuinely important issue that - should - indeed be spoken about.
Result? In minds of common people able to apply normal amount of healthy source criticism to what they hear, all this ultimately achieves is staining the legitimate issue with shoutcaster's BS. Open your show with some chemtrails theories and you just lose your credibility. Except in minds of those who are smart enough to protect their brains with tinfoil that is. Meanwhile, In minds of average people the hypothetical "legitimate issue" gets trashcanned alongside chem trails, Reptiles, Inside jobs and hoaxed moonlandings. Target audience of Alex Jones, ie people who buy into hoaxed moon landings and 9/11 mythology are perfectly happy to scream OMG!! about Israeli Lobby or Mcdonalds making sure everything but their junkfood is expensive just as well. But since these are same people who are fairly certain reptiles rule over Great Britain, it doesn't really matter if they go " OMG!" about something or another. In fact, McDonalds and NRA and whomnot are pretty glad good portion of people ranting about them are same ones ranting about controlled demolitions and chem trails. Ensures fastfood lobbby, legal drug overlords and co get a very good measure of benefical eyerolls for free.
I swear, there is some sort of a conspiracy in this! In minds of normal people, nothing strips a genuinely troublesome issue from credibility as well as some conspiracy nut ranting about it. There are precious few very well documented, widely witnessed and pretty interesting Ufo cases that defy most explanations you could give. (Phoenix Lights being the best example I can think of) Yet, for typical people browsing net with typical mindset, it is increasingly dififcult not to dismiss them; Ancient Aliens and bs comparable in thickness is pouring so much static in air..er, netwaves that value and curiosity towards genuinely interesting cases just inflates. You hear UFO and you think of the dude on ALIENS meme. Then and there, it gets difficult to "keep an open mind"
Tis a conspiracy, I swear. Maybe I make a documentary about it. And by documentary I mean a cheesy powerpoint video on youtube, with comic sans font and Clubbed to Death looping on background.
