I for once was relieved. Not only do they get to polish the game more, but if Dragon age Inquisition got released in october it wouldve been mid-semester at my university. In other words, I would probably have failed atleast one of my exams due to DA:I having consumed several 24/7 weeks of playing.
With the new release date (21st of November for us europeans) the timing isnt just good, it is perfect - as my exams are likely in the 24th-12th of nov/dec.
Just wondering if anyone else here got as lucky as I did?
Be it studies, work or other factors.
Anyone else happy with the november postponement?

No, but I'll get over it. ...When the game comes, of course.

I'm all for a delay if it means improvement. Sure I want to get my hands on it ASAP but I'm all for postponing a game if it leads to a more polished and complete product at launch.

But in reality, I mean it sucks, but when it comes out I'm only a week away from fall break from school, which means every waking moment not at work will be spent on dragon age haha. Just gotta survive the wait...

YES!
My semester ends a little more than a week after Inquistions release so I couldn't be anymore happier.

I can wait. I just hope GTA hits October now.

Happy? No, I was already pretty antsy with the original October release. But I'd rather deal with the waiting and let Bioware have more polish time than to have them rush the game out the door riddled with bugs.
I'm looking on the bright side though; I've been focusing on losing weight this year, and setting motivators to keep me on my goals. My major motivator is Inquisition - I'm not allowed to play it until I've lost 45 pounds from my starting point (that's about 20.4 kg for those of you on the metric system). I'm now about 12 pounds (5.4 kg) away from that goal. Though I'd likely hit that by October, it's kind of nice to have a little bit of extra breathing room, so to speak.
At this rate, I might actually need some stretch goals, heh.

No, but I understand it. It just sorta sucks with Arkham Knight getting delayed into 2015 and the fact that there isn't any other games I want this year with the exception of Destiny. Did I mention that the last game I bought was Watchdogs on release day in May? It has been a really dry video gaming year for me, I've only purchased four games this year... I am praying Inquisition doesn't get delayed to December, 2015, or beyond.

I am cautiously optimistic never like it when games get delayed.

I'm not particularly happy about it. Final exams aren't until December, so it just means I'll be more busy and won't have as much time to play. The game is also coming out the same exact day as Far Cry 4, of which I'm also planning on picking up. Suffice it to say, I'll have two amazing games and very little time to play them. *sigh* The difficulties of life. #FirstWorldProblems

I don't understand this mentality. If this game had come out in October and you didn't have time to play it then, you could just have waited until you did have time. Releasing in November means that EVERYBODY, even those who would have had time to play it in October, have to wait. So why are you rejoicing that other people have to wait like you? That's the most selfish thing anyone can say, "I wouldn't been able to play it in October so I'm glad that now EVERYBODY has to wait until I have time to play it." ![]()
I don't understand why people can't just wait to do something instead of wishing that the possibility of doing it be delayed until they are able to.

DA isn't the only franchise I am excited about. There are plenty of great games on Steam to be played in the meantime.

Not really... I guess if Destiny turns out to be something really special instead of the Serious-Faced Borderlands I anticipate it to be, it'll make the extra month delay that much less of an issue. I have no way of ever really knowing just how improved DA:I would be in quality for the extra weeks, where the year delay we had a much clearer picture with what the new scope of the game encapsulated, and with which seems to have paid off exponentially in terms of quality.

I wouldn't say happy. I'd say unsurprised. Maybe a little pleased, for time budgetary reasons (Borderlands and Destiny). It's game development. Delays happen more often than not. If they think the time would do the game some good, then why not take it?

Not to sound snarky, but maybe because of spoilers? I've the feeling this game is going to be kind of a big deal. Thus it might be hard to dodge information about it for a month or two. Where as while it's only newly released, everyone will be stumbling around in the dark so spoilers won't be so prevalent.

We already was spoiled all companions. We even know all companions personality's and some other important stuff.
All locations is known.
Some plots of game are known.
We know beginning of games.
There not much left to spoil really.

I honestly don't think DAI will be that big a deal. I mean, it is to avoid competition in October that the game was pushed back, so EA obviously does not consider DAI to be as big as those other games. While it might be possible to come across major spoilers browsing video game related sites or even general sites, I highly doubt that that would be the case.
I remember hearing about the ME3 ending fiasco long before I got to the end, I even still kept coming to this site but I was never explicitly spoiled. And that's the kind of MAJOR spoiler that you could possibly see on non-gaming related sites (business sites, general culture sites), yet even then all I had to do to avoid being spoiled was avoid the actual topics discussing it.
Not only that, but even if you can play it the day it comes out, you could still come across spoilers farther into the game than you are simply because other people have more time/don't do all sidequests/advance quicker in the game than you do. There is always a risk and that risk doesn't go away just because you can play the game when it releases.
I find that argument to be rather thin for being happy a game is pushed back..
