The portion of the game set in Orlais and Halamshiral is going to be epic. I'm crossing my fingers for an elaborate side quest where we have to procure the makings for an Orlesian gown. The first pic almost remindes me of the Miraluka from KOTOR 2.

God i rly hope they won't force me into some kind of orlesian ball or at least they will allow me avoid this plot.
The latter one for my qunari dude please.
lol that collar in the 2nd pc is awsomely ridiculous...not very efficient for drinking and eating i guess
Not enough blood, guts, hack-n-slashin for you huh?
Well it is rather rp issue for i tend play as chaotic (d&d) characters.
I can imagine quite a few chaotic characters who would love to lose themselves in an Orlesian ballWell it is rather rp issue for i tend play as chaotic (d&d) characters.

Well that would depend on the type of chaotic if by chaotic you mean just loony i guess you would be right but i tend play rather philosophical side of chaotic character.

...I had something for this. It was cool. It even had a House of Cards reference but now I realize I don't even know what the philosophical side of a chaotic character is. Like philosophical opposed to the maintaining of order? And you can't be happy sowing some discord at a fancy ball? Not even when your probably going there to kill someone?
Whatever, more Orlais. More-lais!

Well if you aren't familiar with D&D alignments it would take too long to explain and even if you know something about often it is simplified so in the end it is hard to explain. So if you want some insight you can read some about chaotic 1 , 2 ,3 but don't blame me if you will end more confused than before. ![]()
Where is that second pic from?
I was really hoping they would do Orlesian fashion justice but I was worried it would be toned down from how it was described in TME, like every Orlesian noble/court member except for a few major characters ie, Vivienne, Celene ect would just have some variation of the same outfit or would just be wearing armour. Looks like I was probably wrong about that. ![]()
I wonder how masks will come into all this.
If we get invited to and/or gatecrash an Orlesian ball, I want nothing more than to be able to show up looking like the most impressive person there, and then give an impassioned speech where I rip the superficiality of the Game apart, champion elven rights, brofist with Gaspard and then crowdsurf out of the hall on the shoulders of cheering elves while Cassandra and Josephine look on in abject horror and shame, before continuing to drink and trying to forget I'm their boss. Morrigan and Dorian, meanwhile, would be trying not to laugh.
That would be most ideal.
Oh I cannot wait for the Orlesion Ball. I'll likely keep a save and just replay it over and over again. Especially if I get to wear a gorgeous gown. Oh I hope!
Oh, wow. I can't wait to let these people know how much the Maker hates them.
I wonder who are drawing these. Did they hire a french fashion designer or somethimg lol.
I want parachute pants.

I like Couteau and Elodie's looks; it's intriguing to see firsthand what is intended by Orlesian fashion. Fancy and also mysterious, with both of them having a part of their faces covered. Elodie's collar looks so soft and pillowy. I like it...if I wore it I could just tilt my head sideways and fall asleep standing up, in my own shirt ![]()

Pretty sure that the French don't actually dress like that. They are much more subdued and practical:
