Was wondering if there has been any hint or confirmation about circlets being present in Dragon Age Inquisition. If not, consider this a humble suggestion.

Would be nice to use the headslot with something less covering than a mask or a helmet, yet still stylish (I'm a character creation freak and I feel depressed to hide my character's face  ).

I know some wonderful hats will be available, but more jewelry options would be great (available for all classes).
I'd love something alike Skyrim circlets (no armor protection, but could be enchanted and give other bonuses).

Some examples of pics below. Anyone else interested in circlets?

Spoiler

EDIT: A concept art of Inquisition seems to contains a circlet. Let's hope it's not part of the hairstyle (like Aveline in DA2) but an actual piece of jewelry that can be equipped by the player character.

I love all the dress up options I can get for my various characters. The more, the better.

Enchanted circlets are a great idea.  Most rpg helmets are just too bulky and awkward looking for me (yes, I am vain when it comes to my characters :P )... it was true in Skyrim and it was true in DA.  All my characters in Skyrim wore circlets... they were even kind enough to give us the Diadem of the Savant, a circlet with a very small light armor value so that we could take advantage of the "all light armor" perks.

The helmet toggle is a decent compromise, but I have heard that you cannot toggle individual characters.  If that's true then it's kind of pointless.  I mean, I get rid of my goofy looking helmet, but at the cost of Vivienne losing her iconic hats?  Talk about hard decisions...

Yeah, I would love that (a headpiece that does not obscure the face? - I am game...I hate having to go "hide headpiece" because I dislike a lot of the helmets and then seeing my warrior character (who needs a protected head after all!) without any helmet...-.-)

Thank you all for the feedback! Let's hope Bioware reads this!

He he! Never enough jewelry options!

Agreed! I do hope we'll get a lot of dress up options, especially for the Orlesian Ball. On day to day adventure trips, circlets would be a nice compromise for people who don't want to toggle the helmets off.

First is vanilla Jarl Balgruff, second is my own custom modded character. If you're interested by the mods I used to create her, check my old Skyrim mod list blog.

I do hope the armor perks equivalent (fatigue bonus for matching armor sets in DAO) will not be lost if we don't use a helmet but a circlet instead. I DO hope for circlets ^^.

Beautiful pics, but I'm afraid such long circlets on the head side would create massive clipping with the hairstyle + different head meshes. I hope they'll manage to create some simpler ones. I especially love the 2nd one you posted!

Yes, toggle helmets is great, yet lacking. Some companions I wish to see with their hats/helmets, and some others, I want to see without. Providing less covering headpieces options could be a nice alternative.

I love the idea of crowns/circlets/tiaras for mages and maybe sometimes rogues. Makes less sense for warriors.

(I'd still love the option to equip them to my warrior when I want to play dress up though)

I think that would be a great idea because the pc is known as an eminence.

Was just wondering about this concept art. She seems to wear a circlet. Let's hope it's an actual piece of jewelry and not a part of her hairstyle (like for Aveline in DA2, who wears a headband)

I think that they will have something like that.  Its my understanding that due to the Qunari not being able to wear normal helmets this would have been an area that has been explored and added.

I was thinking that maybe the Qunari would get warpaints adding bonuses, but if they get circlets, I hope they'll be available for all races.

I see what you did here
