The Berseker Class needs to be changed from just being an angry dude.

Or that since we won't be staying around Ferelden and Orzamar, we could get a new type of Berserker from other lands in thedas.

For example. In future games I want being a "Berserker" to be being possessed by a powerful rage/vengeance spirit through a special convenient. I want it to be a fire based warrior class, in which you get fire powers through rage which triggers the spirit inside of you, giving you it's powers and taking over.

Fire based abilities on the warrior will be awesome. Aura of flame, breath of fire, fire burst, fire resistance. While penalties like limited frost/mental resistance, and inability to use other warrior based skills because of rage, other than the greatly boosted auto attack, fire damage, and the Berserker skills .

(e.x.)

For helping the Rivaini Seers who specialize in spirits, and possession they bind a spirit of rage into a warrior in a special way that it cannot corrupt their soul. In battle it will surface triggered by the burning rage in their mind. Their body will become consumed by flame because of the dark spirit taking over as fire.

there is no Berserker spec in DAI. although, it's possible some aspects of the Beserker spec might have made their way into the Reaver spec.

The Berserker is special dwarven tradition, from Orzamar itself.

That doesn't mean it's in the game.

yeah. The 3 Warrior specs are Champion, Templar, and Reaver.

Champion's the only one "officially" described on the site.

the other 2 were revealed through file info.

and we've seen Iron Bull with the Reaver spec in the demos.

And the description for Reaver in the demos went something like "The closer these warriors come to death, the madder/stronger they get."

so.....that kind of sounds like a Beserker.

Mmmmm no, that sounds exactly like the Reaver from previous games.

Maybe they overlapped and were merged.

I liked berserker a lot the way it was in DA2, and I'm sad it's not a specialization this time around...

For helping the Rivaini Seers who specialize in spirits, and possession, they will bind a spirit of rage to a warrior in a special way that it cannot corrupt their soul. In battle it will surface, triggered by the rage burning in their mind. Their body will be consumed by flame because the dark spirit will take over the body as fire. Only self control can stop it.

I'd be okay with this if you had to pass a mental resistance check after every combat.  If you fail, game over, you become an abomination.  This happens before you get to save the game... before combat "ends," the check occurs so that you can't quickly pause the game when the last enemy dies...  Otherwise it sounds cool.

Berserker should stay the way it is. Fereldan fighting style that originated in Orzammar. The smell of blood and a traumatic memory in conjunction is what triggers the Battle Wrath.

And it makes sense that Berseker isn't around (with the exception of the Dwarven Inquisitor). The Warden spent the entire game in Ferelden and Hawke was born and raised in Ferelden. The Inquisitor(s) aren't really tied to Ferelden or Orzammar (again, Dwarves being the exception).

I meant to say a new type of berserker.

Sounds like what you're describing is a Spirit Warrior that's bound to a Rage Demon.

He's pretty much asking for a DA2 Anders version of Spirit Warrior

It is kind of weird how Warriors didn't get any new Specs, while the other 2 classes pretty much got entirely new specs ( with the exception of Assassin ).

hopefully, the Warrior classes will be similar, yet different, from how they were in the past games.

For example, merging/overlapping Berserker and Reaver.

I'm actually hoping they infuse a bit of Spirit Warrior into the Templar spec.

I can't help but think of Bound by Flame by that description.  Warrior who has demonic fire powers. Not that it's a bad thing , liked Bound By Flame.

I find it pretty weird that the Champion of Kirkwall is the only warrior that can't be a Champion.

Well, I never saw Hawke drinking the blood of a dragon/wyvryn either or drink lyrium as a warrior.

to each their own.

Given the sheer number of lyrium bottles my Hawke seemed to lug around in my warrior playthrough for the party and the number of dragons killed I imagine they picked up their Templar/Reaver bullshit from that.

Also in Origins, Alistair doesn't neck lyrium and can use templar training/skills including the lolstun final ability, as can you (often from reading a book!).

Templars don't need Lyrium to use abilities, it just makes them more effective.
