Quickly win? Have you seen the crap both sides are doing in the Hinterlands?
No, because I haven't played the game. I did read one panicky and out-of-context letter about it, though.
And on top of that, betraying your friend and framing them with murder...makes my blood boil.
It doesn't mine, because in an objective sense, it's still not as bad as killing people, and many people are killed in DA.
In any case, Fiona's a good character who deserves to survive, not a one-book villain like Lambert. If anything, Adrian should go down early with Fiona sticking around.
I think Xil is referring to Cameron Lee's comment that the protagonist can end the Mage-Templar War fairly early on, and even bring their favored faction into the Inquisition.
Woah, seriously? When did that happen?
I just remembered something:
"The surviving first enchanters, the Grand Enchanter among them, retreated to the fortress of Andoral's Reach. Most of the fifteen Circles rose against the templars, with thousands of mages gathering at Andoral's Reach in the following months."
As far as I know Andoral's Reach is still standing and there is evidence she didn't die with the divine.
Freeing mages what cleary would lead to war (and lead) when lambert stabilized situation pretty much she caused not only war but also lost her army and was left with nothing if we don't count few peoples that are loyal to her.In the end she only screwd herself then was searching for someone who will fix mess she caused for her.
Justina was not planning on "freeing" mages. I doubt she even has the power to do that on her own, as the Circle of Magi are part of the Nevarran Accords. She was going to allow them to hold a conclave, and she was actively searching fro an alternative to the Rite of Tranquility (something even Lambert admits has merit). She was also receptive to reforming the Circle to cutail to abuses mages suffer all-to-often.
Sadly, details were never worked out. Adrian pushed Lambert into his rampage, and he broke up the conclave. Hilarity ensued.

Ummm, except they have said that the leaders of the mages and Chantry meet in the beginning of the game, the events of which are not covered in World of Thedas, so yes, Fiona can still die with the Divine.

But shouldn't.

Cameron Lee said, "You can bring an end to the conflict between the mages and the templars once and for all very early on in the game. You can align with one of those." 1:40 mark.

I just hope Rhys will surive. He sounds like a cool guy.
Fiona has the least chance of dying because she outsmarted and defeated a broodmother ffs.
A few Templars or assassins should be a breeze.

Woah. No idea how that slipped past me. Thanks for the info.

Eh... What she did near the end of the book?Lambert brought mages under control she helped mages escape what ultimately allowed mages to fight back and that started war with templars and here we go... Not mention that her serching for cure was another disaster that lambert tried prevent.
Good luck trying to outsmart an explosion.
Rhys: "You can't catch me!"
Lyrium Explosion: "Oh yes I am!"

Along with Rhys and the other leaders of the Fraternities, I suppose.
He must continue what Wynne started before her death
What, finally fighting the templars?

No problem! Glad I could help. ![]()
Ugh, I really wanted to have Evangeline and Rhys maybe survive, but if they die, it'd give Cole's story even more power, in my opinion.Along with Rhys and the other leaders of the Fraternities, I suppose.

To be fair, Wynne does explain to the Warden-Commander (in the City of Amaranthine) that she opposes the Fraternities voting for autonomy because she believes the Chantry would kill all the mages rather than accept them being free.
An explosion would be TOO cliche.

Cole's going to need a big hug, there's no doubt about that.
Wynnes story would be a joke if she sacrificed herself to save Evangeline and Evangeline dies offscreen five minutes later.
