What I would love is if they did a map reveal of all the locations we are gonna visit in GoT OP style.

I remember Gaider said soon, but I don't think a time period was mentioned.
Hm, I think it was Aaryn that said this actually. I'll check his tweets.

I was under the impression that soon meant "when it's ready" which is ideally soon.

I don't understand what difference it makes?

It was Gaider during Ashe's interview. And he said "probably soon" not "soon", so there's no guarantee.Hm, I think it was Aaryn that said this actually. I'll check his tweets.

There's also a long section on how the Inquisition can "pass judgement" on certain people as a result of quests - the example they gave was dealing with a barbarian tribe after defeating their leader in battle. The judgement sequences come after some story events and offer the player a way to reflect on what just happened.
That sounds awesome. I hope we can give the defeated chieftan the Vercingetorix treatment.

You know I just noticed that the banners in the background of this picture don't sport the traditional "inquisition eye" icon. Seeing as the preview said we customize the "banner, and heraldry", I wonder if this symbol on the banners is an alternative icon to the inquisition eye.
If we can change it then I am totally swapping the eye for a giant middle finger.

It's the old way.
If you would take a man's life, you owe it to him to look into his eyes and hear his final words. And if you cannot bear to do that... then perhaps the man does not deserve to die.

Do we know where the Skyhold is located region wise? Is it a zone (for lack of a better term) unto itself, or is it located in one of the ten open-world settings?

The Frostback range? I think.

I think it's a zone in itself, that seems to be the only way that they could load that much detail into the level.

Does it still count if I'm laughing while I swing the sword?

Not necessarily, most, or more likely all open world games load only the objects nearest and/or visible to you into the RAM. The rest of it remains on the hard-drive, to be loaded gradually when you actually see them, and unseen objects, or ones not in your immediate surroundings are scrubbed. A very accurate "when a tree falls in the forest.." representation. The answer is no. There is no way the entire level of Skyrim was loaded at once when you started playing. So technically, level size is not determined by the amount of detail, and Skyhold could be part of a larger region.

"you must take no pleasure in the task, but neither must you look away." So, no.
So says Eddard of House Stark, Lord of WInterfell and Warden of the North.

Also to take to note, the one who hides behind the executioner soon forgets what death is.
But considering we will be doing plenty of killing ourselves, there is hardly any difference.

The writer could only play on a PC with a controller, but he was impressed by how well it handled. I think that was the only mention.
Yeah, it gave me the impression that the PC UI isn't really ready for use yet. Though, in that one video from SDCC where they had sound issues and had to tab out of the game to unmute, we got a super tiny glimpse of the traditional Dragon Age mouse cursor, so it certainly exists, hahaha.

I'm hoping there's a bunch to choose from, sort of like Awakenings' shield heraldry.
(And actually, weren't they talking about doing a deep dive into Skyhold in the next week or so? Hope that comes out soon.)
It would be interesting if the protagonist had a wide range of choices, since I can imagine some players might want Skyhold to reflect a symbol from their racial background, a heraldic design from a coat of arms from their character's family lineage, or something along those lines that can personalize the visualization of the fortress to reflect who the Inquisitor is (in essence, who the player has shaped their main character to be).

Yeah, as well as reflecting any allegiance that the player chooses in the main story.
Skyhold customisation is something that I'm really looking forward to, actually.

I wonder if we can customize furniture in the crafting system?
