Like other players being able to join your game and play as squadmates?

Eh, cool I guess. But I want a comp element more..
AFAIK most players don't want PvP in ME4MP and I totally understand that.
RPG games like Mass Effect where decisions matter may make things more difficult to go co-op. It's not a game where it can be like a 4 player co-op and everyone shares one cutscene.
No.

PvP multiplayer I would applaud.
Co-op not so much.
Might as well make in an MMO. No, thanks.
Mass Effect MMO: yes, please.

I agree, and I don't think it would add anything.

In theory it could work, but since I don't like MMOs...

If by coop they just mean an option to run around as a squadmate but have no impact on the story, maybe.
ME4 needs a comp suite. It just does, it doesn't have to be huge or overall done like Call of Derpy or anything, but it needs to happen.
It could be mission-wise match making perhaps?
Watching the main player having le sexy time with his romance option isn't that enteraining, I see that, too.
Implications .....problematic.
I wished we got a Coop campagin similar to Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory for Mass Effect 3, to bad we just got hordes of mooks.
No, I think the co-op character and protagonist should be entirely separate entities in the game. I don't care if PvP is in there, since I wouldn't bother with it anyway, so long as there are no exclusive rewards for them (like certain weapons, armor, etc.).
I hope they don't waste resources on co-op. MP is a given, given the success of ME3's mp but I wish they would drop that too. It's out of place and takes resources away from the SP experience. There are plenty of dedicated mp shooters out there already.

It doesn't take resources from SP. If MP was dropped, so would the resources used to develop it.
As for co-op for SP, I think it wouldn't work due to balancing (either you have missions that would be impossible to do alone, or there would be no challenge for additional players).
Being able to take over a squadmate in combat would be pretty cool, since most of the time they're standing out in the open anyways.
"Garrus, cover me."
"Got it, Shepard." *runs directly into the arms of a banshee*

That would pretty much be the Dragon Age method of party-based combat. It would've been interesting to see this kind of thing in action, like seeing your Shepard using his/her powers outside of your control.
Rage-style co-op would be kinda cool, as long as the missions were via lore or codex entries related to the SP campaign. In Rage, IIRC, they co-op missions were set up as legends and heroic stories. So, in ME3, what if we got to play the Battle of Palaven as a co-op mission, or Reegar's last mission.. that kinda thing I could go for. Even that story of how Rana Thanoptis blew up a bunch of scientists; maybe we could have a mission where we stopped her from doing it. I could go for that.

They could do all that with the citadel without making it a MMO.
