Will people post questions in this thread even though BSN isn't the place that they are holding the Q&A?

Of course.
Will the aoe spells kill the nearby critters?
I asked (on facebook):
1.) Will the elemental spells for mages overshadow other abilities like Horror and Glyph of Repulsion?
and
2.) Could you explain how, exactly, Focus works?
I asked them about (cross) class combos. I saw "shatter" in the videos. I'm curious if there will be more of different ones with different effects like in DA:O instead of just "more damage" as they were in DA:2.
I'd like to know if a rogue can transition smoothly from range to melee like in Origins.. I really loved that. Hey I'll probably forget about the Q&A so if anyone want's to ask for me I'll give you my eternal gratitude... and stuff.. ![]()
My question is all about Blocking and Shields!
1.) Is Blocking an active or passive state?
2.) Will it consume some resource when used?
3.) What attacks bypass the blocking ability?
4.) Do Shields have offensive abilities?
Thank You!

Well, I can answer No.4 for you, yes, shields do have some offensive ability. In the Dwarfinquisitor leak video from E3 you can see Dwarfymcdwarf do a shield charge and knock down a couple enemies throughout the playthrough. It's very similar to Iron Bull's patented Iron Bull Charge.
When can we expect answers?
How come people in DA:I is strong enough to smash castle gates with 2 jabs of their shield? Does this mean castles are now pointless in Thedas?
Guys, they don't get the questions from here. You have to tweet them or ask them on facebook. ![]()

Too bad i had some legitimate questions that i think would help the community, but forcing me to use optional other social networking rather than the developers own forums....well that's just silly. ![]()
I don't even have specific questions. I just want to see some other classes/specializations in action.
Why did you remove finishing moves?

Can we please see Keyboard and Mouse gameplay?
that's a warriors special ability like rogue with lock picking and mages with repairing destroyed bridges . you will have to level up that skill
So can mages also repair smashed gates? They should if they can repair bridges.
Just because its a "special ability" doesn't mean it can't be utterly stupid. And this is.
Any army just need a few soldiers to level up enough to smash a gate, and sieges will take minutes. They can just let that soldier kill 50 other soldiers to gain the XP. The loss would be lower than gong through the actual siege, anyway. Whoever came up with this ability should do Tom and Jerry episodes instead.
I sent one tweet containing four questions:
Can melee attacks miss?
99.999999999999999999% sure they can. In the Dragon Fight video, you can actually see Iron Bull whiff a few attacks, the hitbox and collision area for the dragon is particularly tight. Ironically missing doesn't seem to be something that happens a lot on other enemies, I'm guessing maybe the precision on the Dragon is because of the multi-target areas.

It just means there's an iron impurity with the gate foundry resulting in brittle iron on some gates. This is all covered in the lore!
