Every change made from DA:O to DA2 was for the worse.  The move to twitch button mashy crap combat, the people being made of blood bags mixed with explosives, the non-customisable companions, the weapons being made more outlandish.  Everything was worse.

No, you didn't like the changes. That's not the same as all of them being worse.

So I'll try to be on topic with I like the sync-animation kills that DAO had for melee, and wish they would do that for everything. Melee, Bow kills, elemental for spells n such. Though looks like we're only getting elemental this time around again which is kinda a bummer.

As for the nudity stuff, AO doesn't have nudity as a reason for it getting AO. And CD Project Red didn't 'pass' anything under ESRB eyes. You can look up Witcher 1/2 and it's listed why it got its rating points including all the nudity stuff.

AO Rating : Content suitable only for adults ages 18 and up. May include prolonged scenes of intense violence, graphic sexual content and/or gambling with real currency.

There actually is no Content Descriptors for 'Graphic Sexual Content'. And they'd end up just using Sexual Content and Nudity, but it being an AO rating would suggest it's above that of an M rating (or R-rated film). 'Nudity' just requires prolonged nudity to exist, or really any amount of nudity. Partial Nudity is usually in the realm of G-strings or a naked butt. Anything else nipples/full frontal gets tagged Nudity, if its on screen for any amount of real time and doesn't directly earn it an AO - depends on the content involved, situation, weather or not its interactive all that jazz.

Most developers don't do it because it A, doesn't make sense for the game or B, they're just not comfortable shipping with it. It's a weird stigma, especially when US is a target release location as a whole. Which I find semi-strange since we have plenty of nudity in R rated and sometimes in PG-13 (all be it minor and fleeting). In the end, regardless of what the content is, blood, gore, nudity - sexual or otherwise - as has been said it should be 'done well, not not done at all'.

Pretty much every game they've put out is a good example in recent years but Jack is the one im gonna use. She's covered in tattoos, is constantly referred to as being topless, her concept art has her topless. They ended up putting a belt around her nips at some point in development because they weren't comfortable shipping with that. They should of put a short-cut tank top on her and just not had all the references to her being topless - problem solved. Or you know, stuck to there guns and not backed out of there original concept and goal for the character. (-edit- ME3 version of her is a good example of keeping her theme but covering her up in a manner that makes sense for her).

ME1 did a great job at doing the scenes tastefully, with nude chars but in away where you didn't see any of it (except maybe a side-butt shot). Why they've all been awkward self-sensory or just... really awkward since then has been confusing. But hey as awkward as they are, at least its amusing to see how just stupid it all is. So thats something I guess.

decapitating nipples....

ESRB is tougher than movie ratings, some adults don't pay attention to the tag on the front and back of games and still try to sue.

It's the eventual conclusion to bringing up anything Witcher related.

Worse if you like rpgs, great if you like action games.

Discussions about the definition of RPG aren't productive as it always leads to fights.

Given the thread was already way off topic, I'm closing it.
