I was viewing some part of the Mass effect universe, and these three lowlifes. Having flown an assari somewhere. decided they want more than money. Which strikes me as odd.

Because not only do assari maidens spent 30 years training martial arts, and this is before they become commando or professional soldier. Asari are well known as Biotics that could turn you inside out. And when she does use the biotics they are surprised she uses them.

Does this strike anyone else as odd, or at least as not smart?

Don't get me wrong, it was a good looking asari, with comic book sized "Funbags" is this forum's term.

But it is a big risk to take, even three to one.

You're talking about the comic preview? Well, Liara's scientist. I dunno if she had combat training at her (very) young age. She was more into dig sites. And Batarians (the ones with the many eyes) never proved to be very intelligent - in my opinion. But yes, it seems a bit contradictory since they know she was on Shepard's team - a proof of her abilities.

actually, if i read the race page on the mass effect wiki correctly. Its a custom for maidens to train, for thirty years. So any asari should be pretty effective. And that is what makes it somewhat stupid to me.

(and thanks for answering after the *** above you postwise)

(his post will be removed sooner or later.)

Let's then take a different approach. Let's say they (Batarians) are not the smartest, don't know about Asari or simply forget (as humans tend to forget certain facts sometimes) and only judged her from her cute outer appearance? Men do that.

I'm used to ignore (edited here) some logical flaws sometimes. That's my only excuse.

You might have a point, regarding the Batarian. Him not being the brightest, but he has two turians working for him, they should have known, but could still have forgotten and then peer presure. Darn i think i just answered my own question.
