This has literally nothing to do with consoles, so stop trying to make it.
How would you know? I'm being serious here. Do you have any info on how jumping will work in the kb&m interface? I still have not seen any video on this, so I honestly don't know and would love to see something we can evaluate.
And another thing, if this does end up being a situation where it is different on different interfaces, why are you concerned about what people are "trying to make it"? Information is lacking right now from Bioware and people are asking questions. Frankly, like most of the PC vs console rubbish that gets spouted around here, your post just seems childish.

It will probably be space-bar.

Not sure what jumping buys me other than jumping. I hope to hades there aren't exploration spaces that require me to play Mario or Price of Persia to get to. Sadly I don't see any reason to include jumping if it isn't to "allow" this sort of thing. I don't want a platformer.

Do you know how many times I had to take a long walk completely around a short hill, terrace, pebble, ledge in KOTOR/DAO/DA2 when any able being (much less the titans we play as) could simply just jump up or down them!?
It makes sense in an Isometric RPG but once Bioware went full 3D it was (imo) an odd design oversight to not have jump.
It was so silly I'm glad we can finally do it!
The reason you couldn't walk over those is they were "walls". It wasn't a jumping problem it was a level design problem. We walked over plenty of stuff. Now they'll just build the same ledge but where height = jump height + 1 cm.
Frankly it will make things worse because I'll spend time trying to figure out if I'm supposed to be able to make a jump instead of realizing it is a "wall". Plus, if I can jump then I can fall and if i die or in a non-regenerative world suffering falling damage because of some stupid camera angle problem I'm gonna be really unhappy.

I still don't understand the jump hype or the fact that people wanted it in all these years even though it was unnecessary, but hey. Its here now at least.

Little thing like this add to the immersion.. I give you some exemple.
You can't deny that the snow does not add to the immersion . It also affect gameplay . Since it slow you down. Just like physic do in other game. My favorite mod for Skyrim was Wet and Cold.

I don't see how jumping or the lack thereof affects immersion in any way, but of course immersion is different for each person. I can immerse myself in a game world without a need for jumping. Hell if I don't need to jump in real life I don't;if a game I play doesn't present the need for jumping, I don't jump either.
I'd rather a game have the incapability of jumping than allow me to jump but have me hit an invisible wall I can't cross even though it appears a jump should in theory allow it.
Though it appears Inquisition may require jumping from time to time and its in finally so that's good. If there's a need, it should be there.

Of course. If they add jumping because you know. It make you jump 1 ft in the air and nothing else. It's useless.
But it seem to be an important part of the gameplay/immersion experience. Witcher III have also added it. They're also making their world more ''open'' . So it just make sense to make jumping a function.

Walking around a 3 foot high 1 mile long terrace when you can just jump down was real fun in KOTOR/DA1/2
