Which forum arguments (ex. Hammerhead vs Mako, Cool down vs Thermal Clips), memes (ex. Embracing Eternity), and other inside jokes (ex. Kasumi's "I win bomb") do you think might appear in the Next Mass Effect?
Note: this thread is more about what have been the hot topics on the forum than actual speculation about the next game.
I wouldn't mind a few nods to the old trilogy here and there. I don't want it to be too frequent, but it'd be fun if some could be used in amusing ways.
Alright, here is one suggestion. It will depend on what they do with the combat system, but it seems there has been much talk about how easy it is to get a combo. So a reference to the old days (assuming a sequel) or wish for the future (assuming a prequel) about how it used-to-be/would-be-nice-if easy to combine different powers.
I liked the Omni-gel reference in LotSB. I would love it if they done ones like that in the next game.
Maybe have an Asari say "by the Prothean" instead of "by the goddess" since the their goddess was Prothean.

Jokes about mini-games appeared in both ME2 and ME3. Glyph, for instance, wonders why people just leave weapon mods lying about during the Citadel DLC. Perhaps they reintroduce a mini-game and then have an NPC comment on how stupid it is.

Like having to hack open locked safes and doors a la ME2, where in ME3 we get a neat little omni-tool animation instead.

Every volus in every theater in the entire galaxy stands up and cheers for Niftu Cal. He becomes the most popular figure in Volus culture and spawns a national holiday. The actor who portrayed Niftu Cal becomes the richest person in the galaxy after translating his fame into a successful chain of shopping outlets called Nifty's. Their slogan is, "Sssssk Commander Shepard says sssssk make Nifty's your favorite store sssssssssk in the galaxy!"

You know, I'll bet they have a character like Conrad who's main function will be to break through the fourth wall and respond to fan comments.
It would be funny to walk into a shop on the citadel and hear "I'm commander Shepard and this is my favorite store on the citadel"

Hearing NPC's argue over wether or not organic and synthetic life could be merged and then have them playing out the debate over synthesis would be something special.
