I'm sure we'll see a "please don't" thread for every little game feature BioWare announces in the future. And that's life on BSN.

There he goes again  .  I spelled it out for you in the first place in my original post.  So far the only aspects of the next Mako that we know about is that it will be another wheeled vehicle and have a different appearance, that's it.  The vehicle will be created on a different engine but derderer so will the entire game.  Until more specific information comes out about the new Mako's abilities there is no guarantee it won't be as bad as the first.  Also, just because someone doesn't have the same opinion as you doesn't mean you can take everything they say out of context to attempt to prove them wrong.

At this point, I have no idea what your problem is.  I have dissected your original post, literally taking nothing out of context.  I'm not attempting to prove you wrong because I have a different opinion.  I don't think there is enough information to judge one way or the other, so I disagree with your request to not bring back the Mako.  There just isn't enough to support your statement that it is going to be a mistake.  I am not sure if it will be success or failure, but I do think it'll be different.

For it's day back in 2006/2007, these issues were common and thus for skilled gamers weren't a big issue.  The most common complaint, however, was the Mako.

That's a fair point and I'll admit you're right on this one.

Actually, I am not surprised being a veteran myself and having served with aviation and special operations units.  Spec Ops have the highest physical and mental requirements of any in the military, even more than fighter pilots.  Assuming a SEAL couldn't have the physical stamina to withstand g-forces that F-18 pilots can is silly.

Well first off, if you're actually a veteran (you can never tell on the internet), thank you for your service.  However, when I spoke of height and weight requirements, I literally meant height and weight requirements.  Pilots are kind of like horse jockeys in a way.  They tend to be smaller.  I'm not sure of the exact cutoff for standing height, but I do know that fighter pilots have to be between 34" and 40" tall when sitting down due to the size of the cockpit.  Also, the larger you are, the further your blood has to travel, which can make it easier for bigger pilots to pass out.  I'm not saying that one can't match up to the other; I'm just saying that physical requirements aren't all the same across the whole of the military.

Only because you want to believe I did.  Go back and actually read my original post and use some objectivity, not just your opinion.

Say what you will, but I have been objective.  I've gone through and reread your first post multiple times now just to be sure I wasn't missing anything.  I even have it open in another tab as I type this.  I have broken down your post and pointed out the issues with your statements piece-by-piece.  If you still feel that I have been unfair, then I can't change that.  Rereading your post again and again will not result in me suddenly agreeing with you.

"Didn't read previous posts."

I'm happy that mako'll come back. I would see hammerhead upgraded too! (in ME3 Steve told to Shepard that Alliance engineers was upgrading it.)

The point of these forums isn't for people to agree but to objectively discuss topics of the MEU.  I could careless if you agree with me and there is no indication you have been objective.

There is no issue with the Mako at all. It worked perfectly.

The problem ME1 had was terrible surface design with its love for mountains and edgy surfaces creating unstable driving physics. And even that was manageable if you took your time to look at the map and figure out the path of least resistance rather than go on trying to plow through the area in a straight line. I never had any issues driving the Mako around and I visited EVERY planet and explored them religiously to find all those ressource deposits, item crates, Thresher Maws, etc.! The only planet I didn't look forward driving through was Elatania and even there only because you had to cross an edgy mountain ring to get to the Prothean ruin for the trinket bonus.

BW will probably get it right if they combine:

A. the free roaming of ME1 with the planet/assignment variety of ME2; and

B. the durability and damage output of the Mako with the manoeuvrability and versatility of the Hammerhead.

Win/win, win/win.

One of the things I liked about those maps and Mako driving in general was the fact that you needed to pay a little attention to topography.  Some of the planets we went to in ME1 were young - all sharp craggy mountains that were murder to get across.  Some were fairly easy.  With time and patience you could get anywhere you needed to though.

With the new ME game it will be interesting to see what they do with the Mako.  Better physics, better handling, better terrains and landscapes....  it could be really good.

I am also fairly certain that was by design, because most of the ressource deposits are within scanner range of the easier routes.

Sure, but I'm in a Mako!  I got everything I need in there but the bobble heads.  Sometimes I went to places just to get there and look around.  I even found me a shifty looking cow.  There are missions, and there is exploration.  It was fun to do both.  Also, thresher Maws.

I don't think the galaxy is ready for this. Too OP.

First: I like your avatar.

Second: I think that statement is not very accurate. It's not the Mako that is coming back, it's more of a spiritual successor, I would actually be surprised of it's indeed called Mako...

"Planetary exploration is coming back" is a more precise sentence. And I have to add I hope it's a very, very improved one.

I'm glad to have the Mako back. It does seem it will be primarily for exploration and not combat. Buuut maybe--depending on your style, or what you want, we can upgrade and put some canons on that baby and shoot things, too.

I love exploration. But I also love 'splosions. :D

"small but passionate"  yeah, I'd like to see the figures.  Where are they and where did you get them?  I seem to have missed them in the OP....

I has no problem with the Mako business in ME1.  Didn't hate it at all.  Didn't rave over it either.  Though not excellently implemented, it added a facet to the game which helps stop a game feeling flat and too samey.  I'm happy running around most of the time, but a change here or there is preferable.

They did call it Mako when they presented it at Comic-Con.

I'm in the same boat, I love exploration and big ass explosions.

I'm 90% sure you can customize your Mako (a feature that was suppose to be implemented in ME1).

Lets put it this way, if the Mako doesn't have guns I'm not getting the game.

They did, and they also said nothing there is close to being final. I thought it was just a nice way to say vehicle.

Well, the one in the demo did things our old ragged out Mako just could not do.

This ain't Granny's Mako no more!

Right, let me shatter your dreams, the vehicles in Battlefield 3 and 4 handle like ass.

They're using the same engine. I really hope they improve it, frostbite has seriously bad coding in its vehicles. And netcode. And lots and lots of stuff you guys are going to find out.

I doubt that has much to do with anything. The Mako handled terribly in ME1 and I'm sure you can find games with the UE3 engine that have great vehicles.

Can't think of any vehicles in Brokenfield that handle like "ass" besides the armored ones.

This might not be a fair comparison, but if there's any chance it'll be like the Arkham Knight Batmobile, it will be welcome on my PC.
