So there are these numnuts posting spoilers in every topic on the ME2 board, and i gave this "block this person" via his/hers profile a try. But it had no effect on the forum itself?.

Just wondering whats the point of it.

It blocks them from seeing your profile - and from sending you a pm. If you look there are several topics already in existence in this forum asking for that to be changed. Many people want an 'ignore' function. Find those topics and add your two cents would be my advice. :-)
