I am not sure if it is the target or what. It is a known bug, I don't know if someone found the cause. I am wondering if it has some sort of evade check like a Phantom.
Not sure if it is related, but it seemed like sometimes Abominations don't respond consistently to Overload. Not sure if it is dropping a Neural Shock hit or what. It usually isn't a huge issue.

Geth bombers are cheetahs. If you are not using a powerful one shot weapon they take too much time to get rid of. I hates them.....gollum....gollum

IIRC hitscan powers hit more often when they're moving in a specific direction. I can't remember now though because **** geth.

When they're moving parallel to my kit or are in the middle of an animation (like bomb dropping or melee) then they seem less likely to admit that Overload actually hit them. It's an inconsistent bug though, in my experience.

Just add it on top of everything else that is nonsensical and irritating about Geth Bombers.

No idea why this happens but a work around is to shoot them first then overload and then shoot again if they are still alive.

Dark Channel misses them as well sometimes when cast at their hitbox.

Yeah I guess, maybe BioWare made both the Hunters and Bombers intentionally that way to make them more annoying, instead they end up feeling buggy and annoying.

There are no biotic Quarians so I wouldn't know
Seriously, though, could it have something to do with AoE and latency? Energy drain misses quite often as well, though subjectively not as much as overload. Off the top of my head, Sabotage has the largest AoE of the hitscan powers mentioned which could be mitigating the issue somewhat in its case.

I like to abuse the Geth's tendency to bunch up and overload whatever happens to be next to the Bomber and let chain overload do it's thing.
As far as how to mitigate their immunity, I pretty much do what FTFTL suggested- shoot em in the domepiece and then overload. It still doesn't guarantee a hit though.

I'd like to see a list of anything that is not irritiating, or not nonsensical, about Geth bombers.
They make the rest of the faction pointless. If you were the Geth Prime in charge of a unit, instead of sending in groups of troopers, rocket troopers, pyros, hunters, and even going in yourself, you'd simply send in 100 or 200 or 300 or however many bombers and wait half an hour. Then you could go in, secure in the knowledge that everything on site is dead. So much less resource intensive, so much less risky.

They can be sitting completely still, on-host, and overload poofs on them
now when i see a full shield bomber, i just warp and shoot, that's reliable
