If you haven't noticed, Bioware likes writing romances that don't end very well in the books. Do you expect to see something similar in DA:I? Will there be a romance that ends in betrayal or even death?

There are 8 romances in DAI. Not all of them are going to end with "Happily Ever After."

God, I hope so. They're so much more fun to talk about afterwards.

They like writing those in the games too, so I have no doubt about it that there will be some tragedy in there somewhere.

All the romances in Origins could end on a sad note. All the romances in ][ end on a bittersweet note. I think Bioware's covered on this.

There is no romance that in dragon age went "happliy ever after" so i wouldn't rather expect that.
Well, you can walk through the mirror with Morrigan so that sounds like a happily ever after to me. Also, can't you run away with Leliana to Orlais and live happily ever after?

It's possible, but I hope it doesn't happen with one of the characters I'm interested in.

The romance with Leliana had a few idyllic outcomes... that is, until the epilogues were declared rumors and the Warden got bodysnatched.

Well the warden eventually disappears, so I wouldn't call it happily ever after ![]()

Well that was until sequel came and well i doubt that situation with morrigan where her psycho moma is after her and she have some suspicious plans is happy future.

Well, the Morrigan romance can still be a happily ever after if you walk through the mirror. Haha Unless we learn otherwise in DA:I.

Yes,I do expect something simmilar.
And I'm open to it,while realism isn't considered a great argument to use, when it comes to fantasy and a fictional universe.I'd say that realistic relationship dynamics whether romance or friendship are concerned, are more to my liking.

I don't mind romance death as long as it's done well. Like, REALLY done well.
Thane's romance still upsets me because of the crappy writing that went into it and the animation sequences. If DA:I has a romance that does end in death I just hope it's justified and makes sense.

DA so far has given the possibility of happy endings to all it's romances, even if they haven't lasted to the next game. Though Morrigan required a DLC.

NO. All romances MUST end in happily ever after! I refuse to go through ME 3 trauma again!
If Cass and my Inquisitor don't end up riding into the sunset on a wyvern I am going to haunt you from beyond the grave!

I hope at least one does.
Though since the game doesn't "end" this may not even apply.

I think the better question is 'will any of the romances have a happy ending that lasts more than five minutes?' So far, none of the DA romances have achieved this because the Warden and Hawke always disappear, except the ultimate sacrifice Wardens who die instead.

Conclusion: Stay single
