Tell you what. For my first playthrough in Dragon Age Inquisition-just for you-I'll have him be executed in my imported world state for my qunari rogu
I doubt the Inquisitor can execute kings.
Also Leliana and Varric would probably shiv you.

But he dumps you if he's the sole ruler?
Huh. That is not cool.

yep. even if he is sole ruler.
Eamon is the one to blame. I'm sure of it. never liked the old man.
eh, I'm onored, but I don't need Alistair's head (litelly) ![]()
I've resolved with never letting him became king when I have a romance with him. I both keep my LI without him becaming a d**k and send a middle finger to Eamon. ![]()
but the thing still annoy me quite a lot, because I think is a big handicap for playng a non human female character. ![]()
As long as its a female love interest that leaves you high and dry or cheats on you or dies this time...we ladies have had more than our share of that. It's the guys' turn :/
yes please bioware give me all the drama and sadness you can muster and feel free to feed on my tears
I am a sucker for tragedy, and so far Dragon Age did not disappoint me.
If Blackwall is one of the LIs his arc definitely should not have a happy ending.
I'm hoping he isn't however, so the forum won't be flooded by fans demanding he be cured of the taint. It will be Thane 2.0.
You realize that the majority of female LIs are available to women while the majority of male LIs are available to men, right?
Your comment doesn't make sense unless all the love interests are straight.
Available to Men: Dorian, Cassandra, Iron Bull, and Josephine.
Available to Women: Sera, Cullen, Iron Bull, and Josephine.
Neither side has a majority yet.... And until we find out the last two LIs(and who they're available to), it's up in the air.
You may want to drink some caffeine, I think you misread my post.
The majority of female love interests are available to women. The majority of male love interests are available to men.
There are three female(and male) love internists. 2 are available to men. 2 are available to women. Both have the majority.
And that will change when we find out the final two LIs, and who they are available to....

Hey, it's not as though there's no precedent for being cured of the taint... not that you'd even need it, you'd just need Avernus' anti-Calling mojo.

Bittersweet endings are my cup of tea, so hope for those. Of course, not every romance need to end similar way.
Oh, and no more THE PLAYER CHARACTER DISAPPEARING!
So you agree I'm right but want to correct me anyway... because reasons?
All righty then.
Whatever the case, a female love interest who cheated on you would only be a punishment for men (but not ladies) if that love interest were only available for men (but not ladies.) As she didn't specify wanting Cassandra to cheat on the player or die, the comment assumes heterosexuality.
I'm correcting your assumption that, of the 2 remaining LIs, either: There won't be a female love interest, or the female love interest(s) won't be heterosexual...
Welp as long as the f/m romances aren't the sad ones I'm happy. I've had enough of that to last me a while *skips*
How they will all end:
Blackwall: Thane 2.0! He dies of the Taint.
Vivienne: Inquisitor accidentally spills his/her drink on her, ruining her robes. They break up.
Iron Bull: Things are going good, and the Inquisitor finally feels ready to take the next step, and ride the bull. He/she dies.
Varric: You suspect he is cheating, so you investigate and figure out he is sleeping with... Bianca.
Solas: Dreams of a demon; turns into an abomination. Mages.
Sera: Dies trying to hold off the demons, like we saw in the demo. Remember?
Cassandra: Becomes the next Divine. Celibate. Wages war on Tevinter and dies.
Dorian: Becomes the Black Divine. Celibate. Wages war on Orlais and dies.
Josephine: You go to Antiva for your honeymoon. Dies from Antivan Assassins, because.
Cullen: Gets addicted to Red Lyrium, and after tons of arguments you get a lawful divorce before the eyes of the maker.
a (not) small part of me would kinda like if she dump the male Inquisitor and marry another man at almost the end of the game just because he is not of the right class/race.
for variety.
Eh... no, let's not have that happen instead. ![]()
Stringing the Inquisitor along for the entire game is kind of harsh, but I guess it would keep him compliant until they manage to fix the Veil.

female players already had that in DAO. why not males this time? ![]()

Males had it in DAO too. Morrigan quits the team at the end if you don't agree to put a bun in her oven. So much for love. ![]()

she had an entire DLC for a reunion. a female character who is dumped by Alistair, is still dumped, no matter what DLC she buy. and Morrigan don't dump the Warden. she have to go. she don't arbitrary left the Warden because he is an elf or a dwarf. She have to go to protect their son. even if the kid is not a God (not good to have a kid with the powers of a God around, even if he is a good boy. he have to learn to use those powers to not be a danger for everyone) she is still an apostate, with the possible threat of Flemeth.
Morrigan leave the Warden for an at least noble motive. Alistair only because you made the "wrong" choice in the character creator. ![]()

I think they mean executing King Alistair in the Keep.
-snip-
And because of all that, you want others to experience loss and heartbreak. Gotcha. Well, that's fine, but excuse me if I don't see the value in it. Maybe it's time to let that resentment go. Watching something similar happen to a group of people you don't empathize with isn't going to change the events of DA:O.
I realize this. In the past *straight* women have gotten all of the tragic romances. Less confusing? You realize that the majority of female LIs are available to women while the majority of male LIs are available to men, right?Your comment doesn't make sense unless all the love interests are straight.

and why not? if there have to be not happy romances, since the straight females characters have already suffered quite enough, between ME3 and DAO, is time others have this kind of thing too.
I have already said I'd prefer no unhappy ending for romances, but if there have to be sad ones, than I think is right this time is the straight male protagonist to have the sadder one, since until now the straight male protagonist had no sad story for his romances. not in ME, nor in DA. U_U
because straight female protagonists have this tendence to be always the one to end up with a dead LI or dumped. Is not a novelty Bioware in the last games have always trow at straight female protagonists the most depressing romances arch (and to gay male protagonists too) I think it is all done
dumped because of what you are; check
dies saving you; check
crazy terrorist; check
if you don't kill character X dumped; double check
dies of illness: check
impregnated another woman; check
flirt but than...no! check
prefers doll to you; check
I love you, but oh...my ex was so beautiful, and I love her soooo much...; many check.
...don't you think is time, if sadness must be there, to have it a little more equal, and give it to others than straight females?
since until now straight male protagonists are those that had it better than all the others, why can't they have the sad path for once, if there must be a sad romance arc?
