still count as "leave you no matter what because he is married to his duty" ![]()
and if I remember right, Cassandra is royalty too...

Well, she was. She left the royal family to join the Seekers.
Bring it on. I play BioWare games for all of the feels.
Finally! I finally meet a gal that is not crazy, is valiant, is good, looks and sounds good! Finally BioWare has given me a good true romance!......Mhairi...... ![]()

she may have to return in the royal family. If for some reason there aren't anymore heirs of the throne, she may have to decide to left the Seekers and accept her duty as member of the royale family.
similar to Sebastian's and Alistair's situation.
I'm not sayng that will happen, but it would be a similar route as Alistair's.

If that happens then human inquisitor's will be fine. Since they are nobility.
The elven, dwarven and qunari inquisitor's might have some trouble though. Hence why I expect Cass to be race-gated if they want to go the royalty route with her.
Ideally I'd like each romance to have the option to end either way - happy or sad - dependent upon actions or choices. Having one or more romance bear the inescapable mark of "Doomed", especially on additional playthroughs, creates a No-Go Zone for my protags.
That being said, bumbling accidentally into the DAO ending where Alistair sacrifices himself for my Warden is one of the most memorable moments of the entire game for me. Granted, post-sobbing, I immediately reloaded and pushed him into bed with Morrigan...but I still remember the shock & despair of my first playthrough finale and I'm glad I got to experience it unspoiled. HappyEndingCanon for me, though.
I'm a sucker for sad/bitter-sweet endings to movies/games/books. Especially when it comes to love.

Maybe it's because my real life has been so lacking of sorrow, but sad endings in stories always thrills me.

As if Gaider needed to be encouraged to go for bittersweet stuff. ![]()
My life has enough sorrow for both of us. Trust me, sorrow is overrated.
I like happy endings as well. I want both in this game depending on the decisions your character makes.

or it can happen as I said before...only Qunari, Dwarfs and Elven Inquisitor can be married. for political reasons. Marriages arrangiamant to sign peace between different country/groups can be even more important than marring a noble man like many others with no real political weight. (the HN female was accepted to give Alistair more legitimacy to the thone, since he was a bastard child.)

Yeah, I seriously doubt Nevarra would want a half-breed as heir.
That only happens if you make him King and if you play as an elven or dwarven warden. He is fine with marrying a human.
I'm not an expert on marrying Alistair, but I'm quite sure human mages are not in the list either.
I do like the idea of a happy and a sad ending for each romance, but truth it's I'd say that it's already this way in DAO and DA2, so it might be good to be more specific and say that it would be nice if beside the sad ending, we'd always have a happy ending that didn't require tons of metagaming or tons of luck ![]()
I'm ok though with having every romance ending badly, if the rest ends super happily, but I'm aware that it's probably a wildly unpopular opinion ![]()

Yeah, human mages get dumped too.

Wow, now I KNOW I am executing Alistair for ALL of my world-states.

Isn't that a bit extreme? Its not like he is doing it for fun.

Does he dump you no matter what, or only if he becomes king?

Only if he becomes King. He never dumps any warden when you put Anora on the throne.
Wow, now I KNOW I am executing Alistair for ALL of my world-states.
But, not all your wardens will have the knowledge you are using to make that decision.. A male Dwarf Warden doesnt know that if he were a female Dwarf who loved Alistair than Alistair would dump you if he were to become king. Also, He doesnt WANT to dump you..
I don't like this one bit. No sir. Those BioWare employees know something I don't. It is...disconcerting.
Wow, now I KNOW I am executing Alistair for ALL of my world-states.
Just screw him over at the Landsmeet, drunk Alistair is the best Alistair.
He dumps you in some cases if you make him king, it was never really his ideal to become king anyway. He kind of has to, because a non-human can't rule alongside him and he doesn't want to treat you like a mistress because he finds it unfair to both you and whoever he may potentially have to marry (Anora included), but he can be talked into it if your persuasion is high enough.
