Anyway, you can spectualte the remaining LI's and such here. Personally for me, I am assuming the remaining love interests are Solas and vivieene.
Well my first playthrough is always what I would actually do. A human warrior (as I am stronger than I am fast) and a straight male.
My options are either Cassandra and Josephine, or those two and vivieene.
Least significantly that I don't find my potential LI's attractive (lne reason she to likening longer hair lol.) but the shallowness hardly matters.
Well...
I like Cassandra, but not romantically unless some things change. Seems she is devoted to the seekers who I don't usually agree with, so that would be difficult. She seems a bit too aggressive which is fine, but it's for a cause I don't believe in. Though her loyalties may be shifting so maybe things wil change.
Vivenne. The trailers called her the ambition...a title like that makes her hard to trust...but in am sure we will quickly get past that. But I am also against the circle...again, I don't like her cause. She may not even join the inquisition because she'll probably hate me so much.
Josephine, maybe...but I will almost definitely use her least. I will mostly side with Cullen if my prediction is right. In war I don't know if I have time to build connections. I will throw peope in the dungeon and take them by force. Or spy. Or spy then take them by force. Diplomacy is great but it rarely works as quickly so I may not use it as often and she may hate me.
It's okay though. I'll probably be good friends with Solas and Cole or Dorian, so I'll hang out with them. Lol.
Any other person guessing you'll have a single lead character for your first playthrough?

I probably won't. I don't mind letting my characters get with people who don't always see eye to eye. In fact, I find the relationship progression far more rewarding to witness that way.
My first playthrough, I'm planning to romance Cullen with a Qunari mage (barring any gates which seem increasingly likely, unfortunately). I don't expect that relationship to be flowers and sunshine, in fact far from it but the qunari mage isn't me and will not react in exactly the same way I would react, so I don't see that as an obstacle.
Honestly if I let my personal attraction to characters dictate who I romance, I'd never romance anyone ever in any Bioware game (or likely any other game with the feature) lol and what fun is that. So I tend to often make characters who I think would fall for those characters that I know I won't fall for.

I will be single for sure, while my first &main PC will be Dalish Elf female. Dalish Elf will not romance of course any non-elf character, and if Solas is LI he is not attractive for me, so my PC will have friends but not LI.

That's interesting... I've been planning a male Dalish, but figured I'd just settle for a human. Maybe I'll also avoid romance as part of the rp. It would make a lot more sense that way...

You could always romance Sera.

For my first, I'll probably try to find an LI. It's looking like, though, I may not.
Well, maybe topLEL. But outside of her I find no-one on the team even vaguely attractive (and her it's only from Origins, not really here).
That's as a human male. Don't really think I'll have anyone. For human female, maybe Cullen.
Dwarf, ??? ??? ??? Moving on...
Elf??? I wish I could have a male elf romance Sera but oh well.
Qunari???
Honestly I think I'm going to have to play the game and get a sense of where each race is coming from, how they're portrayed in this game, before I start expanding my romances.
Kind of off-topic: I want this game. Four different races. Four! Not to mention the exploration and gameplay, reaction wheel, all that jazz. Plz hurry Beowar.

I may be single my first playthrough but I might not be. I will be playing a Dalish male archer, and since I am into guys, so is he
At present, the only male LI open to m/m relationships that I like is Iron Bull, but I already plan to romance him with a different playthrough (and I don't want to romance the same person in back to back playthroughs). I have plans to romance Sera and Josephine down the road, but with different (female) characters.
That said... I am a romantic. So either I will give in and romance Iron Bull anyway (which I don't want to do because I don't think he will gel organically with my first character, who was initially intended for Cullen, and then Blackwall, which I no longer think is going to happen)... or I'll end up going for one of the guys I don't find attractive at all, Solas or Dorian. A "single" playthrough just is not appealing to me simply because I love romance so much... it's a shame I didn't get my favorites for the game, but that's just how it goes I guess. And I'm sure, despite not liking their looks, that I will love the personalities of Solas and Dorian both. Never met a BW character I did not like... well, except Oghren maybe xD

Hm... it's a possibility, that's true. I don't know how well that would work, since this character was going to be a rather traditional Dalish. Ideally he'd be returning to the clan once this war was over, but that might not even be an option. I might just wait until I play as a human to see any of the romances... we'll see.

my first Male Elf will definitely stay single, he'll be a traditionalist and will not shack up with a shem... i was planning on romancing Sera at first but Bioware c**kblocked him ![]()

Im thinking its pretty likely, yeah.
I'll be playing a qunari, so ill might go for Iron Bull, but thats more novelty than anything.

I was (am?) planning my to romance Cullen with my female Qunari mage, but since he's likely race gated I'll have to settle for plan B. (elf mage!) Which is cool, but I really wanted to be a Qunari my first play through, but I've been a Cullen fan since I first heard him stuttering at my elven mage girl back in '09. I could have swooned if I hadn't already been sitting.
I won't mind romancing Iron Bull, I was a fan of Freddie in ME3 (and super wanted to romance James and was disappointed when I could not. sad face. Shep and him would have had matching tattoos and everything!) so I am looking forward to romancing him in my second playthrough. :3

My Dalish won't be very traditional, and will probably be going for Bull. ![]()
If I end up doing a playthrough where I'm an ****, I'll probably make that a forever-alone one, though. But I find it hard to do those kinds of characters.

I was thinking about romancing Josephine with my Female Human mage for my first playthrough and then make a female Qunari Mage (or maybe a rogue) romance Iron Bull ![]()

I'm likely to have a single protagonist with my elven mage Inquisitor, who will serve as the first protagonist in my playthrough for Inquisition. I thought that Sera might have made a good match because I figured her potential jubilant and exuberant personality would be a nice match for my stoic Dalish main character, but that didn't work out, and I don't really see any of the Andrastians serving as a good match, given all the differences and problems that would likely arise. I suppose he'll be more of a lone wolf in a sea of Andrastian soldiers who represent everything he opposes.

I'll try out the romances once each, then more than likely never touch them again.

Male Qunari Mage will be forever alone. He'll be too focused on his work with the Inquisition and has a taste for Qunari females which there happens to be a shortage of in his part of Thedas.

Aside from 1 Shepard in ME 1, and faithful runs in ME 2 which really means no romance, I don't think I've ever gone stag as a male pc if there was an option to romance a lady. Of course as a straight male I refuse to romance any man even when I play a female for a change so in older games like KotR I did have runs where I never even flirted with anyone, but thankfully they did start making games with f/f options for when I play a lady.
My actual concern with Inquisition is actually the age difference. In DA:O most of the LI's were in there early 20's save Leliana who was older, which was good since it matched most of the pc's except maybe a dwarf nobles who had a younger brother with a very full beard. In DA 2 most were in there early to mid 20 at the start which paired nicely with Hawke. But what I've seen so far has me worried that my pc is gonna be cougar bait. I mean outside of Sera they all, male and female, seem to be in their 30's or older. I don't have a problem with older LI's, they worked great in ME, but there Shepard was 30ish as well. If my pc is shown to be young like they usually are then I'm just gonna have to retcon that in my head.

Yes I know that Sera is an option but Im straight female and I would feel strange romancing her. Lack of romances in my game is not a big problem. I can still imagine that my PC have someone special wandering around with other Dalish clan or something like that ![]()

Well you have quite the selection, op. I want to roleplay as a Dalish male elf who despises humans. Who can I romance? I don't feel confortable playing as a female. i don't know how women work, they are aliens to me, and this make roleplaying as one of them impossible.

Sorry to say, but as long as You will play a straight Dalish Elf male there's no LI for You if You don't want to romance human females. If yours PC will be bi/homosexual You will have chance with Solas probably ( don't know if he is bi).

Your only definite option at this point is Iron Bull. Solas might also be a possibility, if he turns out to be bi.
If you have your heart set on an elf girl, though, you are indeed out of luck.

In both previous DA games my characters were single and that is not likely to change in DAI. In fact, given the choice of LIs presented so far, I can pretty much guarantee that it won't change. But other than that, I have a fondness for stories with women in power who stay single their entire life.
Sometimes I wish the game had an option where the PC only pretended to romance a LI – working an angle, or that it was all a misunderstanding leading the LI believe there was something more between them when there wasn’t. I can only dream… although it was somewhat possible to pull the scam off with Zevran of all people…
Why yes, I do like playing cold, misanthropic people who are dedicated to whatever they set their mind to, and care for rest of the group the same way they would care for a stable full of prized horses - well fed, healthy, reasonably content and ready to charge at their command
Ahem... moving on... ![]()
