Are the daggers paired into a single item or two singular weapons as before?

 

If not paired, I would like to see a Twin Daggers option, similar to the hide helmet. I would assume it would just cosmetically mirror the main-hand weapon.

 

I was often displeased with the appearance of the daggers as they were often mismatched, and varied wildly in design. Having this as an option would be a simple way to address this preference and wouldn't prevent others from choosing to have mismatched daggers.

 

Though if the daggers are paired into a single item then this idea is moot.

I'd rather they didn't have them paired in a single item. That way we can choose 2 different daggers with different stats, for example, one ignores enemies' armor, the other, grants you +% attack speed

I can understand that you'd like them to be similar if not the same... I personally don't know, I like my daggers as they are haha (in the videos they've shown they were the same, but that doesn't have to mean anything)

I would love either of those options. I went out of my way to find matching models in DAO, and in DA2 I ended up modding it because it bugged me when they didn't match.

While I also get the OCD feeling when daggers don't match, sometimes I think some daggers actually look cool together that aren't of the same style. I think what the dev team needs to do instead is to make it so that all the daggers compliment each other instead so that they all "look* good next to each other and of course, the matching one as well.

 

Either way, with the new crafting system they siad something along the lines that we can copy the appearance of old weapons and place them on upgraded ones, so I'm assuming this is the compromise concerning matching daggers, so don't fret, you will be allowed to make matching sets as confirmed by the devs themselves :3

I prefer daggers not to match as I feel it looks cooler. But I wouldn't mind a quest to find two sibling daggers, that are matching.

 

Therefore I hope daggers aren't combined into one slot.

Isn't this a pointless feature with the crafting system, maybe I should wait until we have a lot more to go off, but my understanding is you can effectively make any weapon look however you want within its weapon class.

If the crafting customization is good enough I will be satisfied. My fear was mostly because of DA2, though the art style of that game was... odd from the start.

I think everyone is misunderstanding the request.

 

The OP isn't (if I understand correctly) asking for a single weapon which is 2 daggers, instead he is asking for a visual/ui option to have your offhand dagger match your mainhand dagger. Similar to how the Hide Helmet option doesn't actually change the gameplay at all, it just shows your characters head.

 

Personally I don't care, I never use Hide Helmet and I would never use this, I enjoy seeing whatever weapon I have equipped actually being displayed, but I wouldn't be against the toggle option being included.
