I think they'll stop making games before they run out of the Dragon Age. I mean, the first 3 basically cover 9:30-9:40ish, so if we averaged 3 games per decade, that would give us 6 more decades, so 18 more games. Even if we went down to 2 games per decade, that'd still be 12 more games. Unless they just did a big time skip at some point.

Ask again in 2044.

But really, they will just keep calling it Dragon Age if they bother to go that far, which I doubt.  The Chantry could be completely gone by then and the whole Age system would be irrelevant, thus the name would just be a name.  Or make another excuse that takes longer then 5 seconds to think of.  But I really doubt it will go on that long.  The people working on it now sure as hell won't still be at least.  So thinking about it seems pointless.

They can retcon it and say an age last for a thousand years.

Yeah, I've wondered this as well but there's soo much time left, that it may not be a problem. And if so, they'll probably keep the name and in the game it will specify it's in a new age.

They'll keep it Dragon Age. Just like Baldur's Gate II was never in Baldur's Gate.

And the expansions to NWN 1 & 2.

Don't see why they would. Take Halo for example, most of the newer games don't have a single Halo ring in them, but the name is far too iconic.

"Final" fantasy never got a new name, and the first one certainly wasn't the final one

Baldurs Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Icewind dale. Same world different names, I don't see the problem in changing the name.
Though without a time skip I highly doubt we will reach another age.

What else are you going to call it? I'm not fond of Dragon Age but I don't see how you can follow it with anything, where do you go after dragons?

Halo 4 takes place inside a sphere, so I don't think it will be an issue.
